The forum just changed! I am waiting for the deluge of people complaining about it as we know posters here fear change.

I just wanted to get in first to say I like it! Much cleaner, more modern looking. Nice!

I agree, it has a more professional feel about it and the shortcuts along the bottom of screen ( on my iPhone anyway ) are a nice addition.

There is a useful "customiser" button on the top bar where your account appears. If you click on it you can enable an option called "Fluid width" which uses nearly the whole of the display to show AN content. This is of particular use to me as I have my browser set at 67% zoom to get more content on the display. Without the feature enabled the content is scrunched up in the centre but with it enabled it uses nearly the whole width. Useful for larger displays. See the difference in the before and after images below.

Observations (not complaints): The "Dark Mode" moon shaped button on the top bar doesn't seem to have any effect when I click on it. Neither does the Dark Mode setting inside "Customiser".

I know that this is probably a forlorn request, But is it possible to stop continuously updating the forum. It seems as though every week there are changes.

As a retired engineer the advice I was given was brief and simple,

If it works, then leave it alone and don't mess with it.

A good example is that the forum last night is completely different to the one I opened this morning.

What's the difference between Topics, Latest Posts and Popular in the Pub. The same things seem to appear on all three. Or can I get ride of o couple of them.

The Option to remove Notifications one they have been read would be very useful (to me anyway).

There are not "continuous updates". There have been technical issues for a considerable time and they must be addressed. Explanation of what has happened etc is explained in the public notice.

The forum had been technically neglected for a considerable time, the new owners have invested a lot to rectify those issues and move forward with a new and improved experience for the members.

100%

Recent topics on the right, then on the left, then on the right, then on the left, now on the right.

I'm in my 70s.  One reason I ditched Microsoft products was due to their incessantly changing the freaking User Interface.
No - I don't like change in the computer world.  When I wake up in the morning I want things to be as they were when I went to bed.

And now You can choose right or left yourself! The move to left was a technical issue as were most of the previous issues due to blatant neglect of the previous owners, we are doing our best to actually rectify and improve things going forward.
