On the afternoon of November 3, a weekend outing turned into a dramatic rescue as flash floods trapped tourists at Tha Phae Waterfall in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Heavy rainfall had triggered a surge of water from the surrounding mountains, stranding multiple visitors on a temporary island in the midst of the flood.

The incident took place at Tha Phae Waterfall, located in Ban Na Subdistrict, Chang Klang District, which sits on the edge of the Khao Luang mountain range. The area is a popular spot for both local and visiting tourists, particularly on weekends. However, the sudden heavy rain caused water levels to rise rapidly, resulting in a flash flood that caught several tourists by surprise.

Rescue teams, responding swiftly to the distress calls, were deployed to the scene, coordinating with local site emergency services. Despite the challenging conditions and strong currents, rescue personnel were able to reach the stranded visitors, by using rescue lines strung across the flooded waters to lead them back to secure ground and safety.

The tourists were unharmed, and no injuries were reported in the aftermath of the rescue. The authorities have advised visitors to stay vigilant when visiting natural attractions.
