New British passport & transfer of residency card
Hi All, Ill be back in the UK shortly, and whilst there i would like to renew my British passport, even though its still got a couple of years to run (i have many entries to 1 particular country and i wish to go back into this country after visiting the UK and think a new passport would be a safer bet). I have recently obtained permanent residency in another country; does this change the process at all, do i need to get anything transferred in the new passport in the UK (i have been given a separate PR i.d card for the other country. Thanks in advance. -

When fate says its your time to go... nothing you can do about it.. the shock from the bolt stretch out over 20 feet on the field.. something to remember when there is an electrical storm here. -

Leaving Thailand 2024
After 25 years of Thailand and working in the Middle East and other too hot places, I love it here in Alberta. It's where I was born and raised It's nice to have real seasons again. I've got an attached heated 3 car garage, that takes a lot of the bite out of winter. -

Advice requested on a Credit Card payment
Hello My thai partner and I recently ( 4 weeks ago ) ordered a sofa from a Furniture Company in Central Department Store in Chiang Rai. We paid using my partners Bangkok Bank Credit Card. We ordered on 12 October and were promised a delivery two weeks later. As of today no sofa has turned up. We have made multiple phonecalls and seem to be given excuses for non delivery. I am beginning to doubt if we will ever get the sofa. What options do we have to recover the money we paid out. Can we cancel the Credit Card payment, I know you can do this in UK. If we can cancel the Credit Card payment, how ? is there a time limit ? Any advise on how to recover the funds or sofa appreciated.
