A violent altercation between two foreign tourists escalated into a stabbing at Pattaya Park Market in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. Lieutenant Colonel Sanan Kotanon, Deputy Investigation Inspector of Pattaya City Police Station (Dongtan Substation), received the report around 00:35 on November 6 and dispatched investigators and rescue personnel from Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Thammasathan to the scene.

According to eyewitness accounts, a Russian tourist, identified as Miss Spiridonova (identity unconfirmed), aged 45-50, was enjoying an evening with friends when a dispute with another Russian man turned violent. Witnesses described seeing the man, who wore a white sleeveless shirt and shorts, initially approach the group in a seemingly friendly manner, only for a verbal confrontation to erupt. The suspect left temporarily, returning about ten minutes later.

Upon his return, Spiridonova confronted him, pulling his hair. The situation escalated rapidly as the man produced a knife and stabbed her multiple times. Spiridonova collapsed to the ground, covered in blood, with two deep stab wounds on her left side and severe injuries to her left arm. Rescue personnel performed first aid before rushing her to a nearby hospital.

Mr. Ki, 33, an eyewitness, attempted to intervene by wrestling the knife away from the suspect. In the ensuing chaos, the suspect managed to flee the scene. Investigators later found a trail of blood and a 30-centimetre knife, which was collected as evidence.

Other witnesses reported seeing Spiridonova and her friends enjoying their evening before the suspect arrived with a visibly hostile expression. Though a male companion in the group tried to defuse the situation, both parties became engaged in a physical struggle, which ended with Spiridonova being severely injured. Friends of the victim revealed that the suspect appeared to be jealous, as the victim was his estranged wife. They urged authorities to apprehend him promptly, fearing he might attempt to flee the country.

Lieutenant Colonel Sanan Kotanon, now overseeing the investigation, has documented the scene and is coordinating with a search team to locate the suspect. Surveillance footage from the area and along possible escape routes is under review as police continue their investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Indeed, but the greed of money is hard to overcome, same with alcohol and other drugs and sex with hookers.

In the early hours of November 6th, a shocking incident unfolded at Pattaya Park Night Plaza, leaving a Russian woman on the run after allegedly stabbing a fellow Russian national during an argument. The incident occurred at approximately 12:36 AM, prompting immediate response from Pattaya police and rescue teams.

At the bustling night market, vendors and tourists were startled to witness a violent altercation between two women. The victim, identified only as Ms. Natalia, aged between 45-50, suffered serious injuries, including two stab wounds to her left abdomen and two severe cuts on her left arm. She received urgent medical assistance before being transported to a hospital.

The suspect, known to be a Russian woman donned in a white sleeveless shirt and shorts, fled the scene before police could apprehend her. At the site of the attack, investigators found a pool of blood and a 30-centimeter knife.

An eyewitness, Mr. Gi, a 33-year-old local, recounted that the altercation followed an initial confrontation where the suspect approached Ms. Natalia’s group, which consisted of one man and three women. After a brief, seemingly harmless exchange, the suspect left only to return 10 minutes later. In a sudden turn of events, Natalia confronted her, and the suspect responded by brandishing a knife.

Police continue their search for the suspect, having identified her and her residence. Authorities are now examining CCTV footage from the scene to track her escape route. Meanwhile, the victim's friends, believing jealousy to be the motive, are urging a swift arrest to prevent the suspect’s possible escape from the country, reported The Pattaya News.

UPDATE
Russian Woman Admits to Stabbing in Pattaya Market, Citing Love Triangle as Motive

A Russian woman has turned herself in to Pattaya police following a midnight stabbing at a local market, alleging a love triangle and long-standing jealousy as the reasons behind her actions. The original report taken from the Thai media, stated the attacker was a male, the victim’s husband, but this was later updated and corrected as new information became available.

Miss Luliia, 32, surrendered to authorities at the Pattaya City Police investigation room on the evening of November 6, accompanied by her attorney. The incident, which took place outside the Night Plaza Market in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, involved Luliia stabbing her fellow Russian national, Miss Natalia, 49, multiple times. The attack left Natalia with serious injuries to her stomach and arms.

Following an examination of surveillance footage and witness testimonies, Pattaya City Police and Tourist Police identified Luliia as the prime suspect. She reportedly fled the scene immediately after the attack, but her residence, located just 700 metres from the site, was initially empty when police checked.

Eyewitness Kee, who was present during the altercation, noted that as the market was closing, he observed a group of Russian tourists, both men and women, drinking together. Kee saw an argument erupt between Luliia and Natalia. Luliia initially walked away, returning about 10 minutes later to continue the confrontation. Witnesses reported that the conflict escalated upon her return, leading Luliia to attack Natalia with a knife until market vendors intervened.

Market officials have since pledged to strengthen security measures to prevent similar incidents, seeking to reassure both vendors and visitors.

CCTV footage from 23:55, on November 5 captured Luliia approaching Natalia with what appeared to be a weapon concealed near her waist before launching the assault.

Upon her surrender, Luliia confessed to the attack and provided details on her motivation, citing a love affair with Natalia's husband in February 2024 that had been discovered, leading to months of hostility. She alleged that Natalia had confronted her repeatedly and even physically assaulted her on multiple occasions, causing a year-long rift.

On the night of the incident, Luliia claimed she initially attempted to greet Natalia and her husband at the market. However, tensions flared, and she accused Natalia of attempting to attack her first. Luliia admitted that she returned to the scene under the influence of alcohol, seeking to resolve the matter but ultimately acted in a fit of anger.

The police have yet to file formal charges as they await medical documentation of Natalia's injuries.
