In an impassioned speech in Florida, Donald Trump declared victory in the U.S. presidential election, despite votes still being counted in several crucial states. Standing before a crowd of enthusiastic supporters in West Palm Beach, he expressed gratitude for what he described as an “extraordinary honor” and pledged his commitment to the American people. “Look what happened – is this crazy?” he remarked to the cheering crowd, adding, “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president. I will fight for you and your family and your future, every single day I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body."

Calling it a “magnificent victory for the American people,” Trump also claimed he had won the popular vote, a notable achievement given his past failures to secure it in 2016 and 2020. “Winning the popular vote was very nice, it's a great feeling of love,” he said, emphasizing the symbolic importance of widespread support from the American populace.

Trump, now 78, told his audience that his administration would bring about a "golden age" for the country, and he highlighted his victories in key battleground states. Winning Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina has significantly narrowed Kamala Harris's path to a potential victory, though Harris has postponed addressing her supporters until later, according to her campaign chair. Trump's campaign has also reported that he is leading in several other states, reinforcing his confidence as he inches closer to a projected win.

Sky News's U.S. partner network NBC reported that Trump is now within just four electoral votes of securing the presidency. Meanwhile, Republicans have confirmed their control of the Senate, though the results for the House of Representatives remain uncertain.

“We overcame obstacles that no one thought possible,” Trump said with pride, surrounded by his family, including his “beautiful wife Melania” and his “amazing” children. He spoke about his vision to help the nation heal, remarking, “We’re going to help our country heal, we have a country that needs help and it needs help very badly.”

As part of his ongoing vision, he reaffirmed his commitment to addressing illegal immigration, a hallmark of his past campaigns and a central piece of his policy promises. Reflecting on the challenges he’s faced, Trump referenced a reported assassination attempt against him during a rally in Pennsylvania earlier in the year. “Many people have told me that God has spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,” he said. “Now we are going to fulfill that mission together.”

The former president’s remarks underscore his belief in a renewed sense of national pride and a prosperous future for the country. Whether his vision for America’s “golden age” will be realized remains to be seen, but his supporters celebrated with confidence, hopeful that their candidate would indeed return to the White House.

Did you have this same energy when Biden pulled out of Afghanistan?  How's it going for the women living there now?  Did you feel any guilt or remorse or were you okay with it because biden did it?

And why you bringing England into this?  The only people in England who care are the blue haired leftist nutjobs who should really be focused on getting a job rather than worrying about who runs America, as well as the Labour party of course, particularly the foreign secretary who made some ill advised posts whilst he was a student activist in opposition.
