So? They can only cut production so long. We make bank while they starve, and then one starts pumping and the rest follow suit. 

 

Any number of other things may have happened in 2015 to drive the price down. Lifting sanctions on Iran and Russia for example.

On top of it, they know their reserves are not infinite.

 

The article I cited did not claim the increase of U.S. production was the only factor.
