A relative had his 2019 Toyota pickup truck stolen last week. He went to the police who refused to do anything.

Does anyone know if Toyota pickup trucks have a a GPS tracking or other way to locate a stolen vehicle?

Thank you.

If the trim model has gps then you would pair it with an app, apparently that didn’t happen. Our Honda is paired and we can locate it anytime anywhere.

Usually you set these things up in advance, same phone, after is too late. Hopefully the relative isn't looking for a new vehicle from the falang, heard of scams like that

Lastly go to a different Police Station for help. Try going on a different Police shift for help.

Additionally something sounds off about the story like the Police requested the owner show ownership papers or provide the license plate characters.

Lastly is the vehicle paid or financed?

Does he have insurance for theft?

Bull<deleted>!!! The police write all the time a report and print a copy for the owner & his/her insurance.

What him want? That 10.000 policemen ran out of the policestation and search for his car?

Put a Samsung Smart Tag well hidden in the car next time and you can trace and locate

How does that work? Do they have long range and permanent electricity requirements?

Would you need to charge the 'tag' every day or week or hard wire it into the vehicle and put a sim into it?

That does sound werid...   Usually the Police are not so lazy to write a report...

Your relative should go back to the station...   there is no way the police should get away with just dismissing him.

Is the car fully insured ?  Note: only Type 1 and Type 2 - cover for theft... The compulsory insurance (por-ror-bor) does not.

If true, that's BS.

Find an attorney or government representative to contact the Governor and file a complaint.

Always liked the hidden switch. thin wire somewhere under the hood, that critical to engine running, splice another wire ,then into car dashboard
