There haven't been any mandates. There have been incentives but they're not mandatory.

Toyota says California-led EV mandates are ‘impossible’ as states fall short of goal

DETROIT — Toyota Motor sounded the alarm Friday that California-led electric vehicle mandates that are set to start next year are “impossible” to meet and, if they’re not changed, will lead to less customer choice in several states.

The EV mandates are part of CARB’s Advanced Clean Cars regulations that require 100% of new vehicle sales in the state of California to be zero-emission models by 2035.

Most EV’s have no Cobalt. Cobalt is used in making petrol.

Did you read the posts above yours? Evidently not, EV sales are up substantially.

You can have your own opinions but not your own facts.

Just making it up as you go?

No longer in the US. No EV mandates under Trump. I expect a global step back. EV 's sure seem to be going off the boil.

Trump just got bankrolled by Musk.

Musk wants big tariffs on Chinese EVs to make Teslas more competitive. They were outsold in the last quarter byBYD.

I expect more to help his African friend.

Half of all Teslas are made in China.

The Shanghai factory consistently builds more EVs than the three other sites—California, Texas, and Germany—combined.

Cobalt mining in the Congo Africa, slave labourers earning a pittance every day so western snobs can drive EV's around saying I'm going green via my Earth friendly battery driven car...

Where do you think the minerals for the batteries come from?.

Cobalt goes in US-sourced batteries.

China Tesla uses different batteries.

While the cars look identical to those still made in America, there is one key difference: the batteries.

Chinese Model 3s use lithium-iron phosphate (or lithium ferro phosphate/LFP) batteries instead of the previous lithium nickel cobalt aluminium oxide (NCA) batteries.

I think you will find you are wrong. Cobalt is a primary component of most EV batteries.

  • Lithium
A key component of EV batteries. New technologies are being developed to extract lithium more sustainably.

  • Cobalt
A primary component of lithium-ion batteries, which are commonly used in EVs. However, cobalt extraction can be damaging to the environment and linked to socio-economic issues.

  • Nickel
Used in the cathodes, or negatively charged parts, of EV batteries. Nickel is ideal for higher-power batteries.

  • Manganese
An essential metal for manufacturing EV batteries.

  • Graphite
An essential ingredient in EV battery anodes, which are terminals inside a rechargeable cell. Battery makers can use natural graphite or synthetic material, which is more expensive but lasts longer.

  • Lithium iron phosphate
A material that's gaining traction as the EV battery material of choice as the auto industry works to produce more affordable electric vehicles

Most EV batteries (60%) contain no Cobalt, because they don’t use Lithium Ion batteries.

We have 2 EV’s (we had 3 in the last 12 months) none of them contained Cobalt.

The best selling EV’s in Thailand are BYD (we have one) they contain no Cobalt.

You need to understand battery chemistry. 60% of EV’s use LFP batteries that contain no Cobalt. Only NMC batteries contain Cobalt and they are increasingly in the minority.

EVs suit effeminate men. Add Woke And Dei.

EVs suit most people. I average 100 km per day in my EV. My other car hardly get driven except when I need to “use” the petrol to stop it going stale.

I agree I think men that drive EVs are also fond of dressing in womens clothing, are into fashion, and makeup ......

ICE drivers who are men work out at the gym, drink beer, shoot guns, chop wood, watch football etc

What a fine upstanding example of the human race you are.

Your fanciful facts shine like a beacon in a sea of idiocy.
