have dwp ever punished unfrozen pensioner caught?
Copilot
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has not explicitly “punished” unfrozen pensioners caught living in frozen countries. However, the policy of frozen state pensions has been a contentious issue for many British pensioners living abroad.....and

a OAP lives permanently in frozen country and receives unfrozen pension   is that fraud?
Copilot
If an OAP (Old Age Pensioner) resides permanently in a frozen country and receives an unfrozen pension, it is not fraudulent. No action taken Let me explain:

Please do!

You're saying you reported a post, your own post that was duplicated here. You deny authoring that post; I'm truly flabbergasted.  I could put a link up to remind you if you so wish, please indicate  lol

You can't put anything real up, you're a nutter, how many times have you been removed from here on the same subject...? How many....?.........:whistling:

Why don't you post on the government's plans for UK pensioners to combat fraud pointed out in various videos posted here, go on, real facts...........🤭

Your pension is a 'benefit',

The word "benefit" is arbitrary and needs a qualifying adjective for context.

The government wants to push the view that the state pension is a social security benefit. Sometime after it's introduction the state pension came under the umbrella of the Social Security Act along with moves to break the link between NI and the state pension, leading to false claims by the government.

The government publishes the rates for welfare benefits but there is no rate for the "state pension", it is an individual entitlement.

Good luck, I think. However, there appears to be no connection between what you state and the reality of catching pension benefit fraudsters.   ps where are you?

I think you are cornered, the game is up, you now have nothing, try spending some time working out how you NOW have to fix your obvious fraud problem, Pauline will be no help this time......😉

Well you've managed to totally go off topic (deviate as you put it) and start on about trans, gays, racism etc etc. This thread is about the UK pension being frozen overseas in non reciprocating countries.

So you think that discrimination is selective, some should be addressed and some not.

This thread is due to discrimination, and will continue until people like you open their eyes and see the discrimination that has been perpretrated by the government over the years.

Yes, but comes under 'benefit', it is not a pension scheme, where you pay quoted instalments, that's why they can tell us we cannot get updates in Thailand, if it were a pension scheme, they couldn't .............🤔

One could ask how many warnings have you received?

But that would be off topic.

Deliberately mixing state pension with means tested benefits isn't exactly honest. Especially as every link you post is about means tested benefits and not the state pension.

I have never been BANNED, been here since 2007..................😉

Your pension is a benefit, end of. My videos are about the state pensions. To combat fraud from BOTH directions.

Your new pension benefit bank account can be looked at by pensions to see if you get 'robbed' or are on the fiddle.

The dots have been lined up, it had to happen sometime, because of people like you...........🤔..

You are distorting that word "benefit" again, the term SERPS stands for State Earnings Related Pension Scheme.

You are also missing the point. The first reciprocal agreement was an act of discrimination, creating 2 classes  of overseas pensioner, those that can and those that can't.

"that's why they can tell us" - what the govenment say is not always right. In light of current equality laws the government has been forced to address other discriminatory issues, why not the state pension.

They claim it has been that way for over 70 years but GRB only started in 1961.

Graduated Retirement Benefit (GRB)

GRB was an early form of earnings-related pension, intended to top-up basic pension. It is based on graduated contributions paid on earnings between 1961 and 1975 and is paid to those people who paid into the graduated pension scheme.

The entitlement is based on each unit of graduated contributions paid. Essentially every £7.50 contributed by a man, and every £9.00 contributed by a woman bought one unit. It will be paid when you claim your Basic State Pension, but can also be paid at State Pension Age even if you do not qualify for a Basic Pension.

You can delay claiming it  and earn increments in the same way as for other parts of the pension. A widow, widower or surviving civil partner can get half of any Graduated Retirement Benefit for which their spouse had qualified. Amounts of Graduated Retirement Benefit are generally very small and often paid as a lump-sum rather than weekly payments.  https://www.rights4seniors.net/content/other-state-pension-payments

What discrimination? Against pensioners? Sure, some might be gay. Some trans. Some lesbian. Some some other identifier. That isn't the topic. There are quite legitimate ways of keeping your pension unfrozen while living abroad. Read the list of reciprocating countries. So sorry Thailand isn't on it. I've posted the link 100 times. Still you moan.

What pensioners don't need the state pension to live on?

If you rely solely on  State Pension then obviously the money is crucial. However some people have private pensions and investments that cover the cost of living, so the State Pension is a supplement.

You are now making excuses, let's stick to what the Gov is doing to stop pension fraud.

My vids have pointed what they are supposedly going to do.

Every UK farang in LOS knows their pension will be locked if living there, the Gov knows many are avoiding their pension being locked usually by a third party, or some sort of dodge back in the UK.

The Gov's new procedure will probably stop that fraud, that's it, end of story...

I must add, some on here, over the years, have bragged, and rubbed others noses in it because folk are following the law, now I see them having bum burps because they are going to get what most of us wanted to avoid. Those people may soon have to sort a lot of things out, I won't, because I wanted to sleep at night......... 🤗
