In rental apartments I just cook it in open SS pot. Takes 10min, slowly stir it now and then. No need for special cooker.

I understand. Everything is out to get you. Don't wash your dishes in nonionic surfactants, they are endocrine disruptors. Don't cook with stainless steel, chromium and nickel are poisonous. Cast iron cookware contains manganese. Glass cookware has boron, Teflon is fluoride.

 

About 99% of canola oil is GMO.

 

There's a risk of silicosis if you are in desert areas. The terpenes will get you if you are in a pine forest. Asthma in a wheat field.

Aluminium conducts heat quickly and evenly. It is easily spun formed into a pot shape. Aluminium is cheaper than other suitable materials. Bottom line. The end item is cheaper

You don't see people crowding emergency departments with cases of aluminium poisoning , do you? Aluminium has been used in cooking utensils for over a century.

 

Aluminium will dissolve in strong acids such as hydrochloric, sulphuric or nitric, below pH4.  IME one needs to get below pH2 before any appreciable attack is observed.

 

AFAIK foods do not contain the acids mentioned above. They contain weak acids, such as citric, acetic and oxalic acids. They do not attack aluminium as strong acids do.

 

I suggest you study basic chemistry, and take a Valium.

Pyrex glass.

 

Plastics frequently contain plasticizers such as phthalates. They leach out of the plastic over  time. They are endocrine disruptors, and may cause lower sperm counts in men.
