I thought extra virgin olive oil shouldn't be used for a stirfry but read that it can be done .... maybe. Plenty other options out there. Thoughts?

Olive oil and coconut oil are also great but they lend a lot of flavor to the food so it depends upon your taste. For me olive oil is perfect for cooking vegetables and certain kinds of fish, but not much else. Sunflower also has a very high flash point but I've been reading lately that oil made from seeds is questionable from a nutritional point of view. Safflower oil is also very good. I agree 100%.....Rice bran oil is fantastic....It puts olive oil to shame.....Rice bran oil is the best cooking oil there is.... But I have made a improvement on it......I now use 50% beef tallow and 50% Rice bran when cooking.....This combo takes fried foods to another level of greatness....Its so great I doubt it can be improved on... Believe it or not Beef tallow is loaded with nutrients.. Edited 2 hours ago by redwood1
