Finally I agree with something that a republican lawmaker is doing, hooray I should declare this a holiday. I have no issue with trans people but they should be limited to using the men's room, as well as men's locker rooms and men's sports teams. At a given point in time we have to say hey so what if you identify as being a woman, it just doesn't mean much to us, and we're certainly not going to turn our world upside down for you. 

 

And just for the record I say this is a Centrist Democrat.

I would not want to use the powder rooms for the girls.

However, I don't have much objection to the girls using the men't toilets.

It just wouldn't bother me all that much.

 

In the past, once or twice, I have mistakenly walked into the women's facilities.

That was just too embarrassing, and so now I double check before entering washrooms.

96% of sports fans watch male sports. It generates 93% of sports advertising revenue.

Letting the women play with the trans not only lifts the standards, but increases public interest, ratings and advertising revenue.

So I guess McBride will only be restricted from taking a shower in any shared women only locker room with shower facilities.  Not such a burden to bear for a brave man transitioning to womanhood.

This would make a difference in my thinking. Conversely, it also clarifies that the Republican rule move is just another tempest in a teacup. I do wonder if we might incorporate a rule stating that each member undergo a public exam of their pieces parts to establish that there are nor hermaphrodites (ambiguous genitalia if you wish) among them. I have been using toilets in many countries and i really do not care who is around me.

No one is telling you to grab a transgender and taking her with you into the stall.

No, you close the door behind you and what you do is private!

I am not scared of transgender people and i do not believe(unlike others here) that transgender people are perverts or sick in the head.

As for trans people using the same room to change clothes in?

What danger is there in that?

You're making it sound like they're removing armed guards from ladies toilets. As it is any man can walk into a ladies toilet and rape a woman inside. The risk is not enhanced by the person being a transexual, that's nonsense disguised as righteousness. It's laws that protect the vulnerable, not religious zealots.
