Oh dear oh dear oh dear, it's all going wrong for the proponents of the proxy war.

This is what escalation looks like folks, and if some people don't stop poking the Bear it's going to be nuclear winter.

I guess the leaders of Europe that have been front and center in the fiasco have comfy bunkers to hide in when it all goes poof, unlike the serfs they pretend to represent.

Maybe that's what the EU leaders want?
A FULL nuclear war to start all over again in 25 years?

So you think it’s alright just to walk into a sovereign country and start a war do you?. Who’s next then? Why stop there! Keep marching and based on a 200 year old map let’s grab a few more countries. Putin is a lunatic with imperial desires and knows the west is weak. Don’t just poke the bear, shoot the bear, then we can go back too living as we once did.

Did you even think before saying "shoot the bear"? It's like you never knew Russia has more nukes than any other country.

Living as we once did?

Strange comment. How far back do you want to go, early 20th century- hundreds of millions dead in wars, Mao, Stalin etc.

Late 20th century- Vietnam, Iraq

2000s Iraq, Covid, rise of corporations, overpopulation, climate change

And it has reached these "unprecedented levels" because of a lame duck president. Please none of this BUT Putin invaded a sovereign country and Russia fires missiles into Ukraine. We all know this but the escalation of the situation is down to Biden in his 11th hour. Indeed the war itself may have been avoided but the Biden admin did nothing to try and stop it. Just sat back as the build up of troops on the border got bigger and bigger.

The only question for me is if Biden or his handlers did it on purpose, or allowed it through incompetence.

Reports indicate that a detailed 1,000-page document, *Operationsplan Deutschland*, outlines Germany's role in hosting NATO forces. According to German media, the country could accommodate up to 800,000 NATO troops, serving as a crucial logistics hub to transport military supplies, food, and medicine to the front lines.

Do they take us for fools? If there is any possibility that Russia will be defeated it'll be nuclear winter.

All this talk of logistical hub etc is just verbal diarrhea intended to placate the sheeple, IMO.

Can't say I care what happens in eastern Europe, awful places, let Russia have them all (again) if they really want!

For me, going back to living as we once did would mean the wall back up in Berlin, no wokes, no cultural diversity, no LBQT .... I could live with that.

I think it's more of a realization that NATO knows it's future under Trump. BTW it's there's now some doubt about it being ICBM or a hypersonic missile. The latter have previously been used and are indeed nuclear capable. There is a lot of hype going on right now.

Be more of a message if it was an ICBM.

And a message is all it is if it was actually an ICBM. Putin beating his chest as the media and idiots push the doomsday message. Been said many times there's absolutely no gain for Putin in using a tactical nuke with negotiations and a ceasefire on the horizon.

ICBMs can carry non nuclear warheads, but a tad harder to intercept than drones and a much larger bang.

This one got through loaded by the looks of what I've seen with MIRV's.

We are completely sleep walking into WW3

Nobody should be under any illusion this is the worst situation since the Cuban missile crisis

My home City in UK would be the first wiped off the map because of the huge naval base

Safer in Thailand but for how long

No. Not a chance. This is just ridiculous doomsday talk and in no way based in reality. Putin will not use tactical nukes and the US will not go in with it's B1's, B2's and B52's, deploy it naval forces and it's ground forces. This is what would lead to WWIII. Ain't going to happen.

You are so wrong......there will be no B52's ground forces naval forces or any combination of it

Poke that bear and its only a matter of time before he launches you know it I know it and anyone with an IQ of more than 17 knows it. At that point its all over as  retaliatory nukes start landing

Ground war lol !!

Right well I guess sometime in the next two months the world is going to end. Do you realize how MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) you sound?

The problem with the 'Surrender Immediately' guys above is that, on that basis the Russians could go all the way to Portugal without anyone lifting a finger to stop them. All Putin has to do is growl loudly and everyone surrenders.

Then Xi could walk in to Taiwan, not to mention Laos, Vietnam , Cambodia & Thailand ...

Escalation is a two-sided thing. A escalates and then B escalates and then A escalates more because B escalated.

It's not really too difficult to understand this.

"The west" and western media should not pretend Putin is the only one who is doing the escalating.

Maybe, but who did the invading thing?

Obviously, Putin did that - and he claims he was provoked.

My point is that more and more escalation is bad for everybody.

Is it easy to stand back and let the others do something bad? No. But maybe we should not directly use that as a reason for more escalation. Let's try to be calm and think twice.
