Police in Pak Phli, Nakhon Nayok, apprehended a 53-year-old man after he caused a public disturbance while  walking naked and throwing stones at his neighbours. The incident occurred after the man reportedly consumed alcohol and cannabis, leading to erratic behaviour following several days without sleep.

At approximately 12:30 on November 21, officers from Pak Phli Police Station responded to reports of a man walking unclothed in Moo 5, Nong Saeng subdistrict. Upon arrival, they found the suspect, identified as Mr. Anusak, wandering naked through residential areas. Police engaged him in conversation to de-escalate the situation. Eventually, the man emerged from behind a house and was taken into custody after minor resistance. No injuries were reported.

A neighbour, identified as “Aunt Ta”, recounted the events leading up to the incident. She said Mr. Anusak had earlier entered a local temple, climbed into her parked car, and honked the horn repeatedly before pouring water over himself. When questioned about his actions, he reportedly said he was hot and needed to cool down.

After leaving the temple, his pants fell off, but he did not attempt to put them back on. He continued walking naked into a friend’s house, where he began throwing objects, including stones. The house reportedly belonged to a drinking companion, but the motive for his aggression remains unclear.

Neighbours described Mr. Anusak as a habitual drinker who also consumed cannabis this time, likely exacerbating his behaviour. They noted that while under the influence, he often acted out of character. However, when sober, Mr. Anusak was regarded as a generous and friendly individual who often shared what he had with others.

The police have detained Mr. Anusak at Pak Phli Police Station to allow him to calm down.

Maybe stoned then if he has spare.

My Thai brother in law is a bit like that. Firstly he's a good guy but Lao Kaow totally destroys him when he goes on a binge. He doesn't hurt anyone but he makes a complete dick head of himself. He's good at anything to do with building construction. He's done many jobs for locals and has never been paid. He is now 65 yo but has no one to take care of him. He did have a wife and 2 kids but they moved out years ago. When my wife told me that one of her other brothers has just become a monk I told her he should inquire if there's another vacancy at the wat. The answer was yes, so after some intensive coaxing he's now a monk. He's a quite small guy but after knowing him for 24 years I've never seen him looking better. We became good friends over the years so I visit him every time I drive to Korat. When we meet I bow to him and call him Phra ****** he absolutely pisses himself laughing but he looks really well. So once again it took a rational farang to solve a problem for a family of 10 siblings.

If only everyone was as welcoming to foreign ideas, we'd have Thailand's problems sorted in no time.
