"National Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, activated an immediate manhunt on 22nd November following a provocative online video allegedly depicting a 'foreign gang' flagrantly flouting the law."

So exactly how were they "flagrantly flouting the law"?

With this kind of headline totally devoid of facts there must something huge to  swipe under the rug that has nothing to do with foreigners

Its an Asian street gang(probably locals), taking matters into their own hands...

Thai Police don't want this western/Chinese culture here in Thailand - too late guys!

They will want to stand up to the recent changes on their streets, Russian Mafia, Chinese Triads, African Drug Lords, Indian counterfeit gangs...

If the POLICE did a better job there would be NONE of this happening on our streets!

Without a link to the offending "viral video" this is all meaningless drivel! What did they do? Why? Where?

On November 22, 2024, Pol. Gen. Kitirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, addressed the recent social media video showing a group of foreigners defying local laws.

The police chief confirmed that he was aware of the video and had instructed Pol. Gen. Thana Chuwong, the Deputy Police Chief, to thoroughly investigate whether the incident occurred within the country.

He stressed the importance of identifying the location of the incident and ensuring that any individuals involved are promptly arrested and brought to justice.

Pol. Gen. Kitirat emphasised that the incident depicted in the video must not be allowed to happen again, stating that any leniency will result in disciplinary and administrative action against local police commanders.

He reiterated that such behaviour would not be tolerated in Thailand and that measures must be taken to prevent foreign groups from engaging in illegal activities.

Additionally, the police chief instructed local police and immigration officers to maintain strict order over foreigners, ensuring they stay within the boundaries of the law.

He warned that any immigration officers found neglecting their duties, involved in misconduct, or accepting bribes would face criminal, disciplinary, and administrative penalties.

This firm stance against foreign gangs breaking the law is a key policy for Pol. Gen. Kitirat, who is committed to upholding the rule of law in Thailand.

Meanwhile, Pol. Gen. Thana chaired a meeting at the National Police Headquarters on the same day, where he instructed all relevant departments across the country to investigate the issue as directed by the National Police Chief.

The Deputy National Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Thana Chuwong, is assigned to lead a comprehensive investigation to confirm the video's origin and location. Pol. Gen. Kittirat emphasised that if the footage was indeed shot on Thai soil, immediate action must be taken to apprehend those involved and bring them to justice without delay.

Pol. Gen. Thana convened a meeting of relevant units at headquarters to expedite the investigation. Immediate action is sought to reassure the public and maintain Thailand’s legal framework integrity.

This operation highlights a firm stance against any group attempting to undermine the country's legal authority, reported Thai Newsroom.
