I can sort of understand this. I stayed at a pretty upscale hotel in India. When we checked in they did the whole red dot on the head ceremony thing. When I left I simply went out sand told them I checked out after to avoid anymore awkward moments.

Well this is something that he certainly didn't ask for, they did that silly ceremony entirely of their own free will, so how he reacts to it is entirely on him. If the "netizens" want to get annoyed let them get annoyed. This world is populated by snowflakes these days who are just looking for excuses to become victims, he had no obligation whatsoever to respond in any manner. He's a world famous celebrity who values his privacy and does not seek the spotlight, from everything I've ever heard about him he's a very graceful man so I pay no attention to this kind of garbage.

Under 20 would be more accurate. I have no issue with it as long as it's legal, I just find it amusing that he gets a free pass from so many because he has all the "correct" opinions on things like climate change and bashes Trump frequently therefore he is a "very graceful" man. 

 

If Musk did the same thing they'd absolutely slate him for it.

Many people have such boring or unpleasant lives that they turn to illegal drugs or worship of celebs. It's all a bit sad.

Agree with Mr D,

Walk past them, looking away, same as with all the other beggars and flower sellers.

 

If I'm paying for a holiday, I don't want to be forced to waste my time watching the natives.

I'd probably let them hang flowers around my neck, but only if it didn't cause me a delay.
