Wife Tracks Husband with GPS, Confrontation Ends in Fatal Shooting in Nakhon Sawan
Picture from responders. A 49-year-old woman from Chonburi shot and killed her husband beneath their family home in Nakhon Sawan after tracking him with a GPS device and accusing him of infidelity. The incident occurred on 11 January, with police from Krok Phra Police Station responding to reports of a shooting at a house in Krok Phra District, Nakhon Sawan. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of Mr Wut, 44, lying near a marble table under the house. He had sustained two gunshot wounds: one to the ribcage and one to the back of his head. Nearby, Ms Jitra, 49, was found seated and waiting to surrender to the authorities. A .38 revolver was also recovered at the scene. According to Mr Wut's mother, Ms Jitra had driven from Chonburi to Nakhon Sawan to reconcile with her husband, who had recently returned home from work. The couple had reportedly been arguing for some time, though the mother was unaware of the full extent of their conflict. Preliminary investigations revealed that Ms Jitra had suspected her husband of being unfaithful after secretly installing a GPS tracking device in his vehicle. Upon discovering evidence of his alleged infidelity, she decided to confront him. However, the discussion escalated into a heated argument, culminating in the fatal shooting. Ms Jitra, who had been in a relationship with Mr Wut for over a decade, confessed that jealousy and a fear of losing him had driven her actions. She claimed to have tried multiple times to resolve their issues, but her attempts had been unsuccessful. Police are now investigating the case further and have taken Ms Jitra into custody. She faces charges of premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm. -- 2025-01-13 -

Ambulance Driver Killed in Korat Crash
Picture from responders. An ambulance driver from Pak Thong Chai Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima was killed when his vehicle lost control and collided with a utility pole on 11 January. The incident occurred on Highway 290 near Ban Nong Phuang Yai in the Chaimongkol sub-district. Emergency responders from the Hook 31 Rescue Unit were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report at 13:55. Upon arrival, they discovered the ambulance overturned on its side and heavily damaged, with the utility pole broken and the driver trapped inside. The victim, identified as Mr Nontawat Donsaranoy, was found unresponsive at the wheel. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and had been on his way back to Pak Thong Chai Hospital after collecting blood supplies from the Region 5 Blood Service in Nong Bua Sala, Nakhon Ratchasima. Rescue workers, many of whom were shocked to discover it was their former colleague, waited for officials from the Provincial Electricity Authority to cut power to the damaged pole before safely extricating the body. According to initial investigations by officers from Pho Klang Police Station, the ambulance appeared to have been travelling at high speed when the driver lost control and crashed into the pole. The deceased’s body was transported to Pak Thong Chai Hospital, where further arrangements will be made. -- 2025-01-13
