Trump himself pardoned a lot of thieves and crooks.

Dr. Faustino Bernadett: Bernadett, a retired anesthesiologist, was sentenced last year to 15 months in federal prison for taking part in a long-running health care fraud scheme where he authorized sham contracts that concealed over $30 million in illegal kickback charge after he carried a handgun from California to Florida on his private jet. Due to past felony convictions, he is barred under federal law from possessing firearms. The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. Carter has frequently expressed support for Trump and recently met with the president on criminal justice issues.

Kwame Kilpatrick: The former mayor of Detroit had his 28-year sentence commuted. He pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and resigned from office as part of a plea deal in 2008 following a pay-to-play scheme in which Kilpatrick and his father took kickbacks and bribes to steer city business to certain contractors. He initially served 99 days in prison but then served an additional year for violating his probation and was released in 2011.

Rick Renzi: Former U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi, R-Ariz., was granted a full pardon. In 2013, he was sentenced to three years in prison for extortion, bribery, insurance fraud, money laundering and racketeering in a public corruption case. He had served three terms in the House.

The list goes on and on.

Any MAGA morons who made no comment when Trump was busy giving pardons to criminals, fellow grifters and extended family members are best advised to <deleted> unless you want to be ridiculed with the hypocrite label.

A lot to unpack on this.

First, the gun convictions are a crock of <deleted>.  Here is what got him:

Yes No
f. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized
for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

Basically it is demanding you criminalize yourself.  The only question should be do you have any felony convictions?  And pretty much no one has ever been convicted of this before so yeah this was a political action.

Second - please you can pretend the tax evasion was as Joe Biden said "late payment" or the like but several years and over $1.4 mil in evasion is serious and felony.  He deserved that conviction and was probably headed for several years behind bars.  What is worse is the entire package of offshore bank accounts and WHY were foreign entities giving him money?  No evidence of any services or products.  It reeks of influence peddling and money laundering so he earned the conviction.  The source of the money should be explained but won't.

Last the issue of Jan 6 is being discussed here.  No idea why they connect but regardless of how you view that event the law has a lot of explaining why many of them were kept in jail for extended time without trial or bail.  This reeks of political persecution which is baffling.  Which is it?  Does the DOJ persecute DEMs like Hunter or GOPs like Jan 6?

Both parties pardon people that probably should not get one.  Hunter goes free.  My bet is Trump does a blanket pardon of Jan 6 and himself.  It is what it is.  I lose no sleep either way.

Trump is keeping his election promises as per his pre election mandate. Telling the truth about immigration, foreign policy, tariffs to deter Foreign imports. not many lies there.
