This is gonna be my first 90 day report since entering the country. I tried to file it online, but it got rejected, the reason being that the first report must be done in person. However, I read that some people managed to do it online. The question is: how?

So if I try different addresses, I might get lucky?

You have filed a TM30, that is your valid address for your 90 Days Report. You can't just use a different address.

Then you will be told to do it before the 90 day report is considered.

Without a TM30 you have no chance to get a 90 Days Report approved, not in person nor by mail nor online.

Can you share the source of your reading? Wouldn't it be better to ask there/them?

No, FIRST report has to be in person, after that online works. at least in my cases that was the way it worked.

Exactly my experience - did my first ONLINE report two days ago after doing the first one in person in the IO. No sweat - worked fine.

I think it it's up to the immigration officer and what they punch into the computer that happened to me but when I went in again she said no problem do it online next time.

I had to go to Immigration to do the reporting when I got a new passport. Now I can go back to reporting online in 2 months.

I just got my latest online report rejected due to 'insufficient information'. I've been doing tm 47's for just under 20 years. My circumstances have not changed in that time but I still get my online rejected. When I get rejected I usually repeat the info online and it gets accepted. WTF are they playing at?

I have done 90 days online for many years without a problem, including returning with a new visa, but this  last time following an overseas trip i was rejected and told to do it in person.

Can you do a 90 day by mail in if it is your first after a return trip?

Someone said "No", but I live in Chiang Mai and I do my first report by mail. Others should report the situation for other provinces.

First 90-days report is said needed to be done in  person at an immigration office, thereafter online reporting works; I've used online for several years.

It was here on this forum, or in some Telegram group. If I could, of course I would ask them.

Online reporting works only if you have done it before at least one time in person with the same passport. However it just happened to me recently that my online report was rejected despite the fact that I was authorized to use the system. Only a couple of repeated strong email request to Immigration office got finally their attention.  They fixed the bugs and told me to sign in again and to make my report. At the end it finally worked out.

Never seen it stated on this forum but if so you should be able to link it.  And what's a telegram group?

I'm in the same boat. Been doing my 90 day online for years without a hitch, then the time before last, strangely I got no reminder and had all my requests rejected. Had to do it in person at Jomtien. None of circumstances had changed and I filled in the form the same as all my previous applications. I didn't mention it at the office because I thought that it was maybe a one-off. Last time, the same thing happened, no reminder and all my submissions (loads of the wretched things) rejected.

On querying it with Jomtien they said that it must have happened when the desk was unmanned, as the computer only holds the requests for a short time. This I thought was a pretty feeble explanation in view of the fact that I made so many attempts and the fact that I'd been doing it for years with not one rejection and always received a reminder. We'll see how it goes on my next one.
