I had understood that it is illegal for a President Elect to negotiate with foreign entities prior to taking the Oath of Office?

Trump is not negotiating. He is repeating the Biden administration's demand for the hostage release.

As a private citizen, he is allowed to do so and it clearly has not occurred to you that Trump is demanding a foreign policy win for Joe Biden.

Please feel free to explain why it is against the Logan Act for a private individual to express support for US government policy.

Over 50% of the US population thought enough of him  -  that is the only validation he needs.

Your opinion (and mine) is obviously irrelevant in the scheme of things.

Just surmising what Charlie Kirk would have replied....

I don't think it was anywhere near 50% of the US population that voted for the crook, but you are right, what is posted here is absolutely irrelevant....

Good fun though, reading the Trumpers stuff...........😁

Go try, but Logan Act is very clear - one president at a time - it is also very clear trump is engaging in negotiations

The hostages need to be freed ASAP , their lives are at risk .

The Logan act isn't a concern here ,  the hostages need to be freed .

Freeing the hostages is the main concern here

I agree re hostages. But unless trump already has a secret agreement in place for when he takes the Oath Of Office and just red meat wind-up in the meantime, he really should keep his mouth closed otherwise conflicting approaches only confuse matters. The Israelis allegedly have already killed most of the Hamas leadership and fighters and presumedly know where any Hamas survivors are,  just trump usual big mouth threats.

Israel probably do know where the hostages are , but if Israel tried to free them, Hamas will kill the hostages .

   Israel are stuck .

Only one Man can save the hostages and the law will not stand in his way .

He will not be restrained by the law  , peoples lives are at risk and hostages need to be freed

Yea its obvious you want him canceled and anything that may help the hostages release by Trump should be avoided at all costs

Hamas relented in cease-fire talks under Trump pressure, official says
The president-elect's warning that he wants to see a deal before he takes office was “a big factor” in recent concessions, the source tells NBC News.

You must admit, though, he was and still is, what happened in the end was astonishing................

Regardless of personal opinion of Trump he is currently the most powerful man in the world.

Not even President yet.

Everyone, and I mean everyone including Xi, Putin the militant Islamists and the North Korean dictator have all pulled back on the rhetoric. They all realize he is possibly just crazy enough to sort sh!t out.

Can only be a good thing in my opinion.

Good for you. I challenge you to document all his claims and keep track how many never happen, can't be done by him Or evaporates and is blamed on others. Keep a close eye on musk, ramy  and that task force  that isn't part of any govt agency and has no authority to act anyway. Self interests comes to mind just like Zuckerberg and gates.
