Intellectual Disabled Man Killed by Train in Udon Thani
Picture from responders. A Intellectual disabled man was struck and killed by a train while attempting to cross the tracks in Udon Thani on the morning of 10 January. The incident occurred at approximately 08:45 on a railway bridge spanning Huai Bung Krata, between Ban Non Sombun and Ban Tha Toom in Mueang District. Police officers, medical personnel from Udon Thani Central Hospital, and rescue workers responded to the scene following a report of a fatal train collision. The victim, identified as Mr. Watcharin, 42, was found lying on his back near the embankment under the bridge. A closer inspection revealed severe head trauma and a fractured neck. Personal items, including an ID card, a bank account book, and withdrawal slips, were discovered on his person. Mr. Thongkham, 83, the victim’s father, shared that his son had a mental disability and received a monthly stipend of 800 baht. He explained that he typically accompanied his son when leaving the house, but on this occasion, his son left alone early in the morning. “I tried to stop him, but he insisted on going,” Mr. Thongkham said tearfully. He learned of the tragedy from the village headman and rushed to the scene, recognising his son by his yellow sandals. The train, travelling from Nong Khai Station to Udon Thani Station, struck Mr. Watcharin as he attempted to cross the railway bridge. The train operator stopped the train and found the victim in the water below. Despite efforts to assist, Mr. Watcharin was already deceased. His body was recovered and placed near the embankment before police and rescue workers arrived. Preliminary reports confirm that the victim suffered severe head injuries and a broken neck, leading to his death. His body has been taken to Udon Thani Central Hospital, where it will remain until his family collects it for funeral rites. Authorities have stated that the train operator will be questioned further to clarify the details of the incident and proceed with legal formalities. -- 2025-01-11 -

Girls in Sri Racha
He didn't say it was Patpong and it's right next to Patpong, so can be regarded as part of Patpong. While a farang could go into a Thaniya club, they would not be welcome IMO. -

Desperate Russians using wooden logs for protection
The goal at the start was for Putin to make Ukraine a vassal state. He failed. -

Desperate Russians using wooden logs for protection
IMO for Russia it's to gain control of the East before it ends, and for Ukraine it's to get some sort of treaty to end the war. Do you have any thoughts on it yourself? -

Most effective music for once-per-year deep-cleaning of house pre-Chinese-New-Year?
Dear Chinese Folks and Chinese Farang, What would you say might be the best music for cleaning house in anticipation of the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year. This year, Chinese Lunar New Year falls on January 29th, a Wednesday. If you are like me, I simply dread the days leading up to Chinese New Year, since these days require that I clean my house, something which I do about once every 365 days. There are just so many items that I know I need to get rid of. Still, deciding what to discard, vs what to keep, is torture for me, since making so many decisions, at such a rapid pace, usually within a 24-hour period, is definitely taxing for somebody like me. This year, I am thinking….. If I were to find “just the right music”, some sort of house-cleaning music, then it might go easier this time. What I need is something very PEPPY, but not too loud. Music which is sexy, but not too distracting. Definitely something invigorating, but not as stimulating as….a…. Headful of Snow. Therefore, any suggestions? The better suited the music, then the cleaner the house might become. Of course, I have already thought of Jeff Beck’s Ronnie Scott’s performance. But, I will not choose this music because I reserve this music for house moving, and not house cleaning. Concerning Head-full of Snow, I am already too bored with old stuff like that. I plan to work for two days on my housecleaning, 16 hours per day, with only a few short respites, randomly spaced, and will begin next week; there is no point in any further procrastination. Chinese green tea will be good, too. But, great and motivating music will be even more crucial if the job is to be done right. House cleaning, these days, is almost impossible without the right music. In the past, we had maids and slaves to do this work for us. Now, we must rely on our own hands, and music to spur us on, until the work is done. Thanks. Really need some helpful suggestions. Regards, Gamma Note: Wishing you and yours a very auspicious Chinese Lunar New Year, and good health in this Year Of The SNAKE……. Note4: Not to put too fine a point on it...but.....this IS the year of the snake......the SNAKE..... -

Male-Female Relationships in Thailand: More Transactional, Less Traditional?
Contrary to a previous thread, as a Hispanic I've never seduced a white woman, except maybe my first wife. Relationships are almost by definition transactional, we all get something out of it, and we all give something to it. My marriages to an Anglo and to a Thai don't feel any different, the pulls and pushes hard to tell the difference -
