You have been asked the same question many times on this forum, Bob.

he was undeniably shocked when I asked him in perfect thai what was the matter

a foreigner asking a Thai person 'pen arai?' (what's wrong? เป้นอะไร?) is not going to shock the average Thai anymore than a Thai person saying 'Thank you' in English is going to shock the average foreigner.

well it shocked him and he blew his top.

He was already hot under the collar so maybe a farang asking him what's wrong just tipped him over the edge!

You are a living walking cliche Colin. I find you remarkably similar to a former poster named bob. But he was younger. Be careful out in fantasy land Colin.  Old guys like you can be taken advantage of very easily.

That's why there is birth control.

Yesterday I had a very heated encounter with a taxi driver that was bordering on dangerous.  I was forced to hail one from the side of the road due to not having my phone with me (I own that part) and asked him to take me to my destination, which he agreed to, with the meter on.

All was going swimmingly until the traffic started to become congested. I could see the middle aged geezer getting more and more frustrated as time was passing by. Then he started swearing profusely in Thai (obviously he didn't know I could speak it) so he was undeniably shocked when I asked him in perfect thai what was the matter?

Well that's when he blew his top. Farang this, eff this, you dont understand this, my life is so hard, you too rich, why not you go back your country, how dare you speak to me in Thai, this traffic is horrible, etc etc etc. All of which I took on the chin and gave him some back in return, but then he started shouting and banging the steering wheel like a complete lunatic. So I said that's enough, pull over, I will get out here, to which he did. I paid what I owed and he went screeching off down a side street. I took a photo of his licence plate, his name badge etc and will be phoning him in today, not that it will make any difference...

Grab & Bolt always for me now, it was partly my fault for forgetting the phone but those taxis that crawl curbs looking for customers can sometimes be loose cannons.

Stay safe out there, folks!

Definitely bob is back under his new cover name. At least come up with new scenarios to hide who you are.

It does in bob world where everything is drama filled and grossly exaggerated or flat out made up,  just to be able to post something

I'm not even going to say what it is again as I'm tired of repeating myself.

Ok robert

I have to give whoever the OP is called credit for his power for making mountains out of molehills.

I wonder how long it takes him on average to compose his scenarios.

I've never had a Thai object to me communicating in Thai, most seem pleased I am trying.

Never happened. Pure fiction. Typical bobby boy smith windup. Always having random aggressive problems with locals that nobody else ever has.

Oh please don't be a hypocrite, the amount of problems you had outweighs Bobs, especially where you had umpteen sick leave days from work all without a medical certificate to back it up and lo behold all on a Monday !

How did you take the picture without your phone?

I was going to reply the same but you beat me to it.

I highly suspect Bob is making up another story.

Along with his Thai language skills.

First he forgot his phone then took a photo of the license plate.

We thought you went to Malaysia for transition surgery.

Was it successful?  Please post a photo of the new girl.

I had a similar incident on my last trip in town in October. I took a cab and I think the fair was about 75 so I gave him 100. He didn't thank me. All Thai taxi drivers are rude.

Seems like you lot have never heard of a go pro before?

That's what I was out with yesterday, I was doing some filming and didn't want to carry both of them with me.

Not like I have to justify myself to you lot anyway but that's the way it went down.

You nailed it. Guess it's back to the drawing board now for bob and for him to start working on his next flawed windup. Notice how he's gone completely silent after getting caught up in his own fantasy. 😂🤣🤩

Crikey, are you sure that you want to be in Thailand, all I read from you are these heated encounters, with a bordering on dangerous theme.

I reckon this is another fictional story that we see from you so many times.

Anyway, you're in the right place for some support for Thai bashering.
