E bike battery

Does anybody know somewhere I n pattaya that can repair mountain e bike battery I can only get 8 miles used to be 25.. thanks in advance

This is the problem with EV vehicles. 

 

Once battery is done, EV ready for landfill.

Not necessarily, and we are talking about an ebike.  Easily and inexpensively replaced.  And thankfully EV vehicles, if meaning cars, batteries last for 1000+ cycles, as long or longer than ICEVs.

 

As BritMan2 states, a lot more info needed to assist.   Especially the battery itself, bike & specs all around.   Price point means quite a bit, when buying electronics.

 

Sometimes you get what you pay for.  My 1st test battery was cheap & crap, didn't last long,but was no surprise for the price.

How is that a comparison?  A normal ICE car has just one battery - an EV has many.

I don't know why it would boggle your mind.  What you appear to be implying is that EV batteries are less of a problem regarding landfill because they last longer.

 

The point I am making, and in all honesty, I think you know this, is that although an EV battery may last as long or even longer than the battery for a conventional ICE vehicle - an EV uses far more of them. 99.9% of ICE cars have just 1 battery.

I see the label on Talarai FB site, same label, but not 100%.   How old is bike / battery.  Battery may be poor clone, or one on FB a clone, and also possible.  

 

Is this the bike and did you get it from ...  Talaria Thailand  or Falcon ?

My point I was making, the battery of a BEV (car) would last as long as any ICE car.

 

1000 cycles for low tech battery @ 300 kms per cycle = 300 kms.   AND, probably still have 70% capacity left.

 

If LFP battery chemistry, then 900k kms, w/70% capacity left, and that's a very conservative estimate.

Whatever you do, make sure you get it done professionally.

both  ICE an EV have multiple cells.... making 1 battery !

We are talking about waste and landfill.  Are you suggesting that the actual mass of an EV battery set is the same as that of the battery on a conventional ICE car?

 

If so, you might want to check on that 🙃.
