Featured Replies

Just an FYI ...    if you're used to traditional type coil mattress'   and go to a memory foam ..   word of warning !

Do not try and do a running / dive bounce test .

the standard coil goes something like pitter patter pitter patter ... swish....   boing ..bounce bounce

the memory foam is more like .. pitter patter pitter patter swish ... thud,,,,sink    aaahhhhhhhhh !

it will definitely catch you off guard

for me..   the perfect type mattress to sleep on

IKEA has a 365 day free return

  • HomePro has a bed & bed selection/vendor, and probably where I'd start if looking for a new mattress.   Medium price range ???  I would expect to pay ฿30k +/- for a new mattress, as that

  • I looked at some in homepro and Sera Grande or similar name was quite good for medium/firm mattress. Think it was on sale for just under 20000bht . Also if you look at ones on homepro online with

Yes, I had a latex mattress in the U.K. but I'm a bit concerned it might retain the heat here a little more as opposed to a traditional one. Do you find that or is it nothing to worry about?

I've never found that to be an issue and my body does run hot, the heat just seems to dissipate. The mattress is more comfortable than anything I've ever slept on and it's a dream like sleep

You mean that they let you sleep, 4uck and whatever on it for a year, then you say you don't like it.............have it back. I think not.

But HOW do you choose one if you cannot 'try it out' for say a month.

I paid 30,000 12 years ago and it's still going strong, They do recommend changing after 8 years, and yet there are ads on UK TV for mattresses with a 12 or 16 year warranty.  Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

I returned one after 9 months, you have to keep it clean though, for some people that may be impossible

IKEA mattresses are odd sizes. They may not fit your bed frame.

They have lots of options, years ago there were limited sizes

That's great for you, but who would want to buy a mattress on which people have been sleeping/4,,king for 9 months? Not me for sure.

Maybe you can ask IKEA that, either way they took two mattresses back from me different times without arguing

Did you have to pay a collection or delivery fee?

IKEA Terms and Conditions:

You may exchange your newly purchased mattress once within 365 days of the date stated on your valid receipt or order form if you don’t love it, provided that it is not dirty, marked or damaged and all care instructions have been strictly followed. If the proper care instructions have not been followed, then IKEA reserves the right to refuse the exchange. Care instructions can be found in the product information provided with the mattress.

If you need us to collect the mattress, a collection fee will be charged. Delivery fees may vary depending on the delivery terms and conditions.

The IKEA Sleep On It mattress exchange policy can be applied a maximum of one time.

If you can find a dunlopillo latex you will consider it to be the most exquisite mattress that you've ever had the good fortune to sleep on. It'll probably cost you 30 to 50,000 but it's really worth it.

Yessss!

We bought a Dunlop matress from an ad on fb, we did a bit of research with the link provided and you ordered it directly from the factory. There was a sale on this specific range, the price was right, not the 30-50k range maybe 10-20 - so, to hell with it, we just bought 2x they couldn’t be a worse that the pile of springs that we had. It turned out to be the best mattress I have ever slept on, for the first weeks, I couldn’t wait to go to bed. I guess you could go and check each range at a shop before spending over 1000 USD on it.

Medium price range ???  I would expect to pay ฿30k +/- for a new mattress, as that was the ballpark of last mattress we bought.  Think that was about 15 yrs ago, if not longer, and still in fine shape.   Worth every baht.

Bt.30K?

I guess it might be worth it.

However, to big and bulky to take with you to your next house.

I prefer to just use one of those memory-foam thingys.

Very light weight, and comfortable.

Easy to move.

Also, very easy and cheap to replace.

I am very satisfied with this type of setup.

Can you be more specific about the mattress? Is there a specific model that you would recommend?

Both Dunlopillo and Lady Americana are superb latex mattresses. Unbelievably comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud.

I have been fortunate to have found a couple of them at highly discounted prices they're in the 70,000  to 100,000 baht retail range, but you can sometimes find them on sale for as little as 10,000 to 30,000, they are worth every baht and last for 20 years if flipped or spun regularly.

Is latex mattresses sex activities friendly? Or does it restrict movements?

I found firm to a bit harder mattresses best.

My mattress is not soft, I would say it's on the firm side, but ridiculously comfortable, and totally compatible with all activities.
