The Black-Screen of YT Death: I think I have been banned from watching YT Vids. Do I care?

Dear Folks,

I think I may have just been banned from viewing YT Vids.

Do I care?

Do you care?

I have lived for many a good year, without YT....Garbage.

Does Google really think that I would pay to watch YT?

Maybe they do.

But, then, they need to think again, because...

I WILL NOT PAY to watch YT, even when i will not pay to subscribe to the NYT.

No way will I pay to watch YT garbage.

And you?

Will you?

I can get good books, for free...and.....

I would like to THANK Google for not allowing me to watch YT.

Nothing could be better for my mental health, in fact.

If I am blocked from watching YT, then I just might become a much more productive person.

Sure, it might "hurt" for one or two days, while I adjust to the new status quo.

But, after that.....

Google's YT can go FLOG itself, for all I care.

I am OUT of THERE.

Thank you Google, for putting the Kibosh on my YT viewing.

I cannot thank you enough!!!!!

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  Maybe, by not watching YT, then I will have more time for some more-useful pursuit, such as posting Topics on TV.....  Who knows?

Note2:  Now that I have been blocked from YT, I guess I will no longer be able to add interesting and pertinent Music Videos to TV with my comments.  This is just one more benefit.  Google....go Flog Yourselves.....hahahaha

NOTE3:  LIFE After YouTube.....How will you spend your time, in order to become more productive, and less depressed...After you STOP watching inane vids sent to you by the YouTube AI?  What is your plan?

Do you recall how much happier you were before the advent of silly vids from YT?

image.png.be0cdda37e805adefb092528500b8abc.png

Now is the time to....

TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE....and to get rid of YT.

Google is trying to encourage consumers to PAY for this GARBAGE.

Don't do it.

Are we Men or Mice?

Speak for yourselves!

===================

===================

I think that this Topic of mine is one of the few that should be least be classified as a joke.

In fact, for many years, I have felt quite guilty about wasting so many minutes watching Cat Videos.

I am thankful to Google for now showing me the error of my ways.

There are many good books to read.

And, there is a veritable TON of good information on the internet to read....for free, and info that is less damaging than YT vids.

I would not wish my children, if I had children, to spend more than a minute per day on YT.

Who needs this damaging YT drug in our lives, anyway?

I am old enough to know that YT is a disgusting insidious blight on the younger generation.

Thankfully, I grew up and became old before YT rose above the horizon.

Google YT:  Go Flog Yourselves!

======================

In my view, Google's YT might just possibly be fairly OK for very old guys who are at the end of their lives, sitting in a nursing home.

However, for anyone who has their lives ahead of them, to lead in a productive way...

Then, most likely, nothing could be worse than Google's YT.

Pablum for the masses.

Even worse than religion,....maybe....

I have tried to stop watching, myself....without much success.

This is why I am so grateful to have been been banned, this evening.

Thank you for this....

Google!

Seems as if you are....

Who would argue otherwise?

Have you not already asked me this same question, previously?

I thought you did.

Maybe you have forgotten?

If I did, you never answered. So it's intentionally - got it.

OK.

Well, if I were to agree with you, and tell you that, yes, I am obtuse...then...

Would you accept my statement?

I think not.

I think you would argue with me, and say that I am mistaken, and that....

I am not obtuse.

Your posts are painfully wordy in getting your point across. Going premiere is all about time and sanity in not having to see ads, especially on a music playlist. I would never go back. We’re talking just a few baht, and why should it be free? Some of the content is excellent nowadays.

It is more likely a local issue preventing you from seeing vids, such as cache or an ad blocker. YouTube could prevent you from commenting, but not from viewing. Clear cache, update phone os/app and pause any ad blocker to see if that helps.

Let me ask you:

Was life better or worse before YT came on the scene?

This recent issue, for me, happened several hours ago.

And, I have no inclination to try to solve it.

I have wasted too much time on YT, during recent years, and time that cannot be recouped, once it has passed under the bridge and over the dam.

This is a wake-up call to me...to STOP watching YT.

I do not want to fix this problem.
I just feel grateful that Google has reached out to me and shut down my viewing privileges.

I am thankful.

Life, at least for me, was far better before YT.

The forum certainly would be better without you.

If banned from YT you may have made some comment or posted in violation of their rules.  You could simply log in with a different email.

Neither nor. I don’t think about it too much to affect things either way. If you’re a chronic user and cannot go a day without it, or anything, then yes you probably have an issue and should take up a pastime like basket weaving.

YouTube is especially good for music though—and it knowing what you like—and there are some really good channels like Colin Furze, ASMR stuff and free documentaries, old TV shows etc.

Suspect YouTube is not the real issue here however. You probably need to get out more.

Or stay logged out. It’s more than likely a device issue though.

Sorry.

In fact, I was not banned, but BLOCKED.....from viewing.

I think it might have something to do with a repeated request for purchasing the paid subscription to YT, which I have continually refused to do.

But, but, you tube will play on the Yahoo video search without going to youtube

OK.

But, then...

You should really not have mentioned this workaround...to me.....

Still, no worries.

I know many do it, and I don't see a problem with it a few times, but you do it with almost all of your posts, trying to get some kind of point across which most of us already see or understand. .................No, it's not legal to share many YouTube videos without the creator's permission or without falling under certain exceptions: ....

Copyright infringement
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) makes it illegal to copy or share intellectual property without permission. This includes videos, music, games, and software. .......
YouTube's default license
All videos uploaded to YouTube are assigned a default license that makes them only viewable on YouTube. You can't download or reuse them without the creator's permission.........
Copyright exceptions
There are copyright exceptions that allow the use of copyright-protected material without permission in certain circumstances. However, there's no one-size-fits-all answer, and courts decide on a case-by-case basis. .....
Fair use
Fair use is a legal doctrine that allows the use of copyright-protected material in certain circumstances without permission. ....
Getting permission
To use copyright-protected material in your YouTube videos, you need to
  • Research and handle the process on your own or with a lawyer's help ..
  • Reach out to the copyright owners or rightsholders directly ....Negotiate the appropriate licenses for your use
