I guess you missed that Thaksin recently trounced whatever is left of the "progressives" in POA elections in both Phitsanulok and Udon Thani. These provincial contests are a bellwether of national political sentiment, akin to the American mid-terms or UK local council elections.

 

This just in: he's just done it again in Ubon Ratchatani.
