The AU$ appears to be getting weaker by the day. It was 24 baht for several months but since then it's got weaker without any signs of strengthening. The experts are predicating it will be 19.5 baht by June next year. I remember a holiday in Bangkok in 1997 when the AU$ was 19.5 baht.

The Aussies are not the brightest business people.

They seem to invest mainly in the housing bubble more than businesses.

Their economy and dollar is linked to digging holes in the ground. The mining companies are mostly foreign owned so the profits go offshore.

When what they dig out of the ground falls in price, so does the dollar.

Without the holes in the ground they would be a third world economy.

They have been lucky up until now, but the whole thing is about to collapse.

Their dollar will keep falling. Other countries are digging holes and do it cheaper and can transport it cheaper.

They are more interested in playing sport than doing business. Simpletons.
