Yesterday at the bar I got into a heated debate with a local thai man. He was adamant that farangs aren't allowed to find fair skinned thai women attractive and that we must stick to the brown variety.

 

I couldn't believe my ears and neither could he when I told him that I no longer find darker skinned thai women all that attractive.

My tastes have evolved since moving here and he wasn't happy about that.

 

Seems we farangs (at least in the eyes of thai men) should only date who they think we should be dating. Anything else is unacceptable and incomprehensible to the thai male. I explained that attraction is subjective and can evolve over time but he was having none of it and stood firm..

 

I think it goes without saying that I won't be taking his advice and will go for what I am attracted to, not what some washed up old Thai bloke thinks I should be attracted to!

Dark chocolate does get a tad bitter after a while...

Don't insult the chocolate. I've gone completely the other way. I haven't befoonked an Asian in many months. I've moved over to the darkest continent. Once you do, then it's hard to go back. Those lighter colors are so boring and pedestrian now. It's that high contrast monochrome framing that you are looking for. Ole!
