A 14-year-old female student suffered serious injuries after falling from a third-floor classroom window during a Christmas celebration at a school in Phraeksa, Muang District, Samut Prakan.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 09:30 on Christmas Day. Emergency services, including municipal rescue teams and medics from Samut Prakan Hospital, were dispatched to the scene following the report.

 

Upon arrival, they found the injured girl, a student from Mathayom 1 year, lying in pain at the base of a four-storey school building. Teachers were already administering first aid before rescue personnel transported her to Samut Prakan Hospital. The student sustained injuries to her legs, hips, and neck and was unable to recall the details of the incident.

 

A teacher from the school stated that the Christmas event had drawn students to the ground floor for various activities, although some remained in classrooms. The teacher speculated that the girl may have been sitting on the edge of a window on the third floor, possibly taking photos, when she lost her balance and fell.

 

One of the girl’s classmates recounted witnessing her sitting on the window ledge shortly before the fall. However, the exact circumstances remain unclear, and the school plans to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

 

The injured student is currently receiving medical treatment, and her condition is being closely monitored.
