American on Dirt Bike Kills Thai Woman Crossing Road in Chiang Mai
Thai Traffic Law Section 32 states: 'The driver shall be careful not to hit pedestrians and may use the horn if necessary. The driver shall be especially careful with children elderly persons and disabled persons'. The police will decide, of course whether the above applies. As is often said 'RTP, the finest police force money can buy'. Thats somewhat irrelevant to my point regarding if he was not at fault... I questioned - If the American guy was riding 'normally' and the lady simply stepped out in front of him, why would jail time or any compensation be considered at all ???? - the answer of course it that it wouldn't !!... -

Causes of High Electricity Bills in Thai Apartments
Depends on the cooling capacity (BTUS) of the AC, size of the room and the dew point. When it's 40C outside and 32C dew point, you're not going to be comfortable at 24C setting. We have an oversized AC in the living room. Turn that sucker on 20C and it gets cool in 5-10 minutes even in the hot season. I prefer 22C for sleeping. My weed prefers 20C when it's drying. All depends. 🫡 -

The things she is saying could be considered a hate crime in canada. But let's pretend anything will happen. -

Former Boxer Arrested in Fatal Security Guard Attack at Thai Party
None of these thais seem to be able to fight not do they help each other until the very end. It certainly makes a mockery of all the posters here who say they are all muay Thai fighters and will help each other in groups . Love to see him do that in the Philippines,he wouldn't of lasted in life -

"all the assumptions I hear on this forum" Reckless driving causing death. What are you assuming about these charges? "They're quick to decide against foreigners regarding traffic incidents here, which is prejudiced thinking before any evidence is there." You don't have any information, just generalizing based on your prejudices. -

Did you eat any street food lately?
I drink a hot ginger infusion every day. Buy 5 bags at a time as you can keep in the fridge and re heat. Anti inflammatory so good for arthritis. Sometimes go for the hot patango while I'm at it but not too often. Delicious but pretty unhealthy. Also buy a khao klukapi sometimes if we can't be bothered to cook. Very nice. -

Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
Been a common saying for decades: "they don't want us here, they just want out money here." Ever heard the saying, or something pretty similar before? Tourism accounts for around 20% of Thailand's GDP. Have you heard that, as well? Tourism is what has caused Thailand to be named "the world's brothel." Have you heard that saying before? Those "tons of areas" don't have many Thai's, either, do they? It's difficult to find a village that doesn't have a falang living in it. Look how tourism and expats have created provincial immigration amongst the Thai workers, many heading south to work in hospitality, legitimate or otherwise. If foreigners haven't colonized Thailand, what would you call it? I will count your reply as the most naive post of the day.
