Has Thailand Caught Up with the 21st Century?
How about fun? The west lost it's sense of humour at the same time it went woke. Monty Python, and all those comedy series we loved would never be allowed now by the wokists. We in the west live in sad times. -

Banged up: Thai prison nightmare exposed by British tourist
I've been saying this should happen. But unfortunately the only thing Thailand seems to go after on a steady basis is if you're a farang not wearing a helmet. -

Three Foreigners Arrested with Drugs at Phuket Music Festival After Two Overdose Deaths
File picture for reference only. Three foreign nationals were arrested for possession and use of illegal drugs at the Electric Daisy Carnival Thailand 2025 music festival in Phuket. The arrests came in the wake of two drug-related fatalities involving American and Canadian tourists, who overdosed during the event the previous day. According to Colonel Weerapong Rakkhito, Chief of Cherng Talay Police Station, and Deputy Chief Investigator Lt. Colonel Sathit Nurit, the arrests were made following increased security checks at the event. The individuals arrested were identified as: 1. Mr. Ryu, 52, a Japanese national, found in possession of Category 2 narcotics (cocaine). 2. Mr. Niang, 33, a Myanmar national, caught using Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine). 3. Mr. Ahmad, 29, a Malaysian national, found using Category 1 narcotics (ecstasy). The crackdown followed the deaths of two foreign tourists, an American and a Canadian, who collapsed at the festival due to drug overdoses and later died at the hospital. The police have since intensified inspections at the festival venue and arrested the three suspects, who have been handed over to investigators at the Cherng Talay Police Station for legal proceedings. The Electric Daisy Carnival Thailand, a highly anticipated international music event, has drawn thousands of visitors to Phuket. However, the recent incidents have raised concerns about drug use and safety at large-scale events.
