I tried doing that once myself Colin. I didn't actually get banned, but I made a farewell post on September 3 announcing to everyone on AN that I was off to Spain because, to be honest, I felt that everyone was getting fed up with my fictitious, windup posts. Oh, you’ve absolutely nailed it there, mate. It’s like I’ve become the village’s favorite adopted farangy son practically overnight. I can’t even walk past one of the big restaurants without someone calling me over. Before I know it, plates are piling up, drinks are flowing, beers everywhere, and the whole place is buzzing. Well, considering many do not work but at least the Son- in - law in the main pays for the high school and university fees and often in the past chipped in as the 20K maximum at the ATM.
As regarding meals out and noticed recently and yes we are driven to some wonderful restaurants but around the Christmas and New Yeah it seems that recently picked up the tab a lot of the times.

However, tbf  they do contribute and do buy food for the 2 Granddaughters and  us and yes including fruit.
My wife's Daughter-in-law's family are quite wealthy and have been given  a lot of land but stating this they are living in very nice accommodation  and yes who of course who originally bought  and living in free of  charge and there is obviously no rent to pay.

There are definitely  swings and roundabouts but I am not moaning at all and we know we can not say too much as the families do not listen and to the Authorites we are  Aliens

Most of the girls are plumpers and grannies these days. The younger girls earn their money online. I reckon the girly bar industry will be dead here in 10/15 years time.

They are often in that trade to support  their family members back home.

So must be difficult for them to save up enough for themselves unless their ties with the parents and younger siblings are severed.

 

Sending big  percentage of their earning to their home is quite common among other migrant workers of straight jobs as well.

 

That financial burden is often imposed on their eldest sister among the family, I hear.
