Speeding Car Fleeing Police Crashes into Roadside Store Before Bursting into Flames

A car chase in Chaiyaphum province ended in chaos when a speeding vehicle lost control and crashed into a roadside store and shop, igniting a fire that engulfed the car. Fortunately, the driver and passengers managed to escape just moments before the fire.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 19:00 on January 11, near Tan Prachan Community School in Ban Tan subdistrict, Ban Tan district. A silver Toyota Vios, speeding along the Ban Tan-Nong Ruea road with a police vehicle in pursuit, failed to navigate a attempted manoeuvre to lose the police. The car veered off the road, striking a parked motorcycle, before crashing into a roadside food store, a beauty salon, and an electricity pole.

 

The occupants of the car , two transgenders and one man, managed to leap from the vehicle with minor injuries before it erupted in flames. The fire threatened nearby homes but was successfully extinguished by emergency responders, but the crash caused extensive damage to the food store and the electricity pole.

 

Authorities identified the driver and passengers as residents of a neighbouring district. They were taken to Ban Tan Hospital for medical evaluation. Police from Ban Tan Police Station are conducting a thorough investigation, which includes testing the individuals for alcohol and drugs. Legal proceedings are expected to follow.
