Heartbroken Irish Mother Pays Tribute to Son Lost on Koh Tao

Robert “Robby” Kinlan, a 21-year-old from County Clare, tragically passed away on January 9 while scuba diving in Koh Tao, Thailand. Having recently completed an advanced freediving course, Robby was living his dream in the idyllic setting. His remains rest in a serene temple on the island as his mother, Tracy King, works to repatriate him to Ireland. Friends from Dive Academy Inis Mor launched a GoFundMe campaign to support his grieving family. Over €30,000 has been raised to honor Robby, described as a kind and selfless young man who brightened every space he entered. Details of his death remain under investigation by Thai police.
