Promises made Promises kept , POTUS first few days! The lefts radical response!
Eight days before the inauguration, Vice President-to-be JD Vance said on "Fox News Sunday" that Jan. 6 convicts who assaulted police ought not get clemency: "If you committed violence that day, obviously you shouldn't be pardoned." Trump vacillated during an internal debate over targeted clemency vs. a blanket decision according to two insiders. Colorado Supreme Court's Judgment Any definition of insurrection involves ''an attempt by people to hinder or prevent the US government from taking the actions necessary to accomplish a peaceful transfer of power in this country." The participants should "act in a concerted way, [but] need not be highly organised". In applying that definition to the events of 6 January 2021, the court found: A large number of armed protestors forcibly entered the Capitol Building. Actual and threatened force was used by those protestors. The protestors' use of force was concerted and had a unity of purpose, in that they wished to inflict violence against members of Congress and Mike Pence. Upon entering the Capitol Building, the protestors attempted to and did enter the chambers of the House and Senate, for the purposes of preventing the certification of the 2020 Presidential election. The full judgment can be read on the Colorado Supreme Court's website here: https://www.courts.state.co.us/userfiles/file/Court_Probation/Supreme_Court/Opinions/2023/23SA300.pdf.
