In addition to the 2 million baht exemption, there is also a 4 million baht threshold related to the remittance of funds into Thailand.
For amounts exceeding 2 million baht but less than 4 million baht, the remitted income still benefits from a reduced tax treatment (for example, some exemption or lower tax rate depending on the type of income).
However, if remittances exceed 4 million baht in a year, this will be subject to closer scrutiny, and depending on the nature of the funds and your tax residency status, you might be required to pay tax on the income that exceeds this limit.
Sorry if not clear. Yes, this is my first retirement extension request following the 3 month O Visa I received for that purpose. My bank is SCB. I know there isn't one at CW. However, a branch near my place (not my own branch) is helpful. They printed the oversease transfer credit advisory same day (in just a few minutes), however that wasn't enough for IO, who then sent me to another branch on Changwattana Road. They gave me a 'certificate of deposits' in Thai language and checked a box that said it's addressed to Immigration and I took that along (for the O visa).
Would the two letters (letter and statement) for the extension be different?
We are there next week for about a week staying near Shibiya, Tokyo. Apart from shopping, she only wants to go to the snow (for the first time) to take the customary 1 million Insta selfies - not to ski nor stay there.
Simply get the selfies and get out.
I have skied all my life so I’m happy to also get out immediately after Miss Thailand finishes her photo shoot.
We want to catch the Bullet Train. Can anyone advise the closest ski field to Shibuya to suit her purpose? TIA
