LTR Visa is Now available for Long Term Residency
One thing I don't particularly like about some tax company webinars is where they have a representative from the TRD who speaks no or little English. So, the tax company representative who is a Thai and also fluent in English asks the question to the TRD rep in Thai....then TRD rep gives an answer for a few minutes in Thai....and then the tax company rep converts that answer to a short reply in English. Anytime someone speaks in a language I don't fully understand for say 3 minutes and the fluent translator converts that to say a 30 second short answer in English, I feel like important details of the answer may have got lost or completely left out in the translation. But hey, this is Thailand...the national language is Thai...I don't expect others to be fluent in English since I'm not fluent in Thai. -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Actually, per Por 162 they are not assessable income, since their funding and reinvested earnings are all pre 2023 income (except for any reinvested income post 2023). But, this premise is not in stone, since some folks maintain Por 162 exempted income only applied to liquid bank holdings on 12/31/23. But some folks are wrong. -

Freewallet.org stole my money - any safe ways to send $30 as Bitcoin in Pattaya?
Nope - that is not it. My computer is clean and I've used it for several years for banking without ever any problems. The problem is FreeWallet, and googling about them supports my view. Can you answer my OP question about how/where to send $30 in Bitcoin? Thanks -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
I understand that the RD considers IRAs to be self-directed pensions and under the terms of the US/Thailand DTA, Thailand has exclusive right to tax income from pensions. Thailand therefore won't accept a tax credit for any US tax paid on remitted IRA withdrawals. Instead, Thai tax must be paid on the portion of distributions remitted to Thailand and then a tax credit applied to US taxes. -

Promises made Promises kept , POTUS first few days! The lefts radical response!
The other issue is that oil companies are not keen to invest in new drilling, in particular with the current price decrease trend. They are not going to shoot themselves in the foot by investing to reduce prices and their profits. I guess that, as prices have started to decrease last year and will probably decrease in 2025. Trump will try to take credit for it and attribute it to the drill baby drill B.S., even in the absence of significant new drilling.
