Some work, some never did work all their lives but were bludgers on the system.....and ...still are

And you know what,I don't mind paying taxes to help those out who chose not to work

As I get older I'm becoming more ...how may we put it...selfish? Non caring , couldn't give a hoot ?

Nasty even .

And during the Covid years I became even more people hater as "Karen's" in supermarkets including male "Karen's" would either ask why you didn't have a mask on or come over to ask you to pull it up.

I met and watched some very nasty people during those covid years from people abusing each other to fighting over toilet paper

Now yesterday  in a 6  level building to go see a doctor

Upon arrival on the floor looking at the foyer sign a elderly man rushes in front of me to get the lift/elevator

As I go towards it ,the doors closed and he had a smile on his face ,I decide to walk up the stairs , as I got to the 3rd level which was deserted I walked the lift to hear someone shouting and banging in the inside lift doors

I shouted hello to hear the old cow in there who had I seen earlier

"The alarm button is not working he shouts thru the door and my phone has no reception ,he was trying to separate the two doors so I peered in to see his thick glasses

Can you tell someone? He shouts .

I look in and in a slow voice I say "Nothing is for free

,what am I getting out of this?

You tell me sunshine !

There is a silence

"I just need help " he whined

"Tough I shouted back ,suffer you old cow "

The way I was treated thru the covid era and you expect my help !

I then walked off

I have decided 2025 I will be completely selfish in everything I do unless I'm getting something out of it

As I get older I see even the younger generation no respect and rush to get on buses etc before anyone else so why should I care about others

I'm a nasty old man and I will get nastier

Maybe it's the mixed up contradictions in your thinking that's causing your anxieties, and misanthropy.

Btw, a male Karen is a Gammon: it was the Karens and Gammons that were complaining about wearing masks, not the other way around.

Dislike people because of COVID?  No, but the whole experience really did open my eyes.

A world wide scam, and many people fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Truly amazing. And now they're beginning to drop dead.  Cardiac problems, blood clots, turbo cancer,...  Excess deaths in every heavily vaccinated country.

I admit, I almost fell for it myself. The first month or so, I didn't know what to think.  A strange virus from China. People in China dropping dead in the street. And there were videos showing just that.  That and more. Mass graves, people welded into their homes, streets being fumigated. And in the US,  a death counter was set up online at Johns Hopkins. All somewhat convincing, at first.

And then they started the censorship and I began to wake up. A huge percentage of the early hospital deaths were from elderly patients with a vitamin D deficiency.  And yet that was discounted as not mattering.  Vitamin D levels had nothing to do with it.  They didn't even entertain the idea.  One of the first red flags. Anyone who knows anything about viruses and the immune system knows the importance of Vitamin D.

And then they censored the doctors who had dared to voice their opinion that we were seeing nothing more than a bad flu season.

Ivermectin was smeared as nothing more than  a "horse dewormer." The big pharmacy providers would not fill Ivermectin prescriptions., Another red flag.  The guy that discovered Ivermectin won a Nobel prize, the drug had an exceptional safety profile and was in use around the world on millions of people for various purposes, and now it's a nothing more than a "horse dewormer"?  At this point, I knew there was something Rotten in Denmark.  They were running a scam.

And as a Twitter subscriber, I saw one after another believable medical report deleted, if it dit not conform to the narrative.

I could go on and describe the developments surrounding the so-called "vaccine," but I'll stop.  It just gets worse.

Lots of people belong in GITMO.

Nonsense.

I had Covid, and I was f*cked up for months.

And you had the vac before as well.

I would say the covid plus the vax would of truly done damage to your internal organs

I doubt you will live past 80 and I'm not being nasty but a realist

If I was a betting man...which I am....I would bet that

Yep I'm still using my "psychology" on people by WEARING a mask nowadays waiting for people reaction

I'm more happier being bitter ,being nasty and many of you are too.

I remember helping a old farang guy a few years ago in a Jomtien restaurant who was choking on  his food

As soon as I slapped his back and he recovered he abused me

So never again

That would be because you don't slap people on the back without checking that they are actually choking.

If I was having a spot of choking because a bit of water went down the wrong way and someone rushed up and assaulted me, I'd be a bit peevish as well.

For what it's worth, on his last day in office, Biden pardoned Fauci, retroactively to 2014.  That was the year the gain of function research was transferred to China.

Nastiness tends to come to those who

dish it out or even think along those lines. Whatever floats your boat, but probably best to change that mindset a bit, or better still learn to stop thinking. Ongoing negativity/bad vibes makes one age faster. While the whole Covid thing did seem to change people, making folk more uptight, it’s done and dusted. Time to move on.

Wrong Sherlock (or maybe Clouseau would be more suited). I got it in November 2020, before the vaccines were available.

Live past 80? Ha ha, you strike again Clouseau.

I always wore a mask when I was out and about. The science was there to say I should.

I did not worry about maskless people breathing on me. I just wrote them off as morons without manners.

Never wore a mask in the car, sorry to disappoint you. Out and about means when I was in a shopping mall or in contact with people.

Ditto ... Only wore a mask to enter 7-11 or Makro, and incorrectly worn.  Any other vendor that required a mask, I wouldn't patronize.

IMHO, people shouldn't support  mental illness :coffee1:

I remember seeing a old couple 84yo both  going home on the train during covid with the plastic full face masks on

I wanted to be nasty so told them ,why bother any day could be your last anyway

Was great in the most locked down city in the world over covid, nice and quite didnt have to talk to anyone only had my dog to talk too, stayed busy by going to the supermarket 3 or 4 times a week, did an online course to while away a few hours.

Being in construction we could work but lot of jobs got cancelled or postponed, even when younger I kept my circle of friends very small nothings changed, im quite happy to spend lots of time with myself, took me a year to get use to the TGF living with me, love the fact she's on duty one night a week and works one weekend a month, as I said I just love my time alone....

Yes

  • 3 weeks later...

I keep to myself now. Lockdown had an impact, then the lingering after effects of the behavior of others. Less tolerance of that behavior. Now happy to stay home and keep to myself, retired, when my wife is at work. A loner anyway, recent years, age, enjoy my own company as Edward Abbey once said.

Covid didn't change me one iota.

I wore a mask before (lung problems), and still wear a mask every day now.  No-one (I mean 'westerners') says anything to me about this and certainly no Thais make any comment.  I can't understand why wearing a face mask gets some Westerners hot under the collar.

No. But it made me despise and distrust government even more than I already did. And that is saying alot.

Since a few months now I have found that reading the news is depressing,  it's so corrupt, so mundane, so violent, the political stupidity makes me wince, the arrogant self importance is amazing, there is no honesty anymore, I have the feeling that only my two dogs are sane in a world turned on its head.
