No.  Thai women like the man to pay the charge.

I knew a Swedish man named Sören that moved to Koh Samui 1974.

Everybody called him Bill because he had to pay.

He died a couple of years ago, everyone knew and respect him as he was the only one on Samui that could drive a car in the early -70.

So he had to drive the first car, the school bus.

Now, he would be arrested for working illegally, deported, and blacklisted.

Actually, far likely to happen back then, than nowadays.

Preecha Seafood,  Bang Sare beats all.

No, Preecha Seafood in Ban Amphur is very good though.

The best place in Bang Sare is the one next to Preecha heading away from the pier, the last one on the row. Don't know the name and I've been going there for 30 years!

Buffet is on Saturday. Valentine's Day is on Friday. Don't know if they are doing a special spread for Valentine's Day.

Hard Rock use to do a seafood buffet on a Friday.

is that the one with a deck out over water on the left as you walk into the restaurant?

Okay, Valentine's Day is around the corner.

I promised my little princess I'd take her to the seafood restaurant for Valentines day.

What's the best seafood restaurant in Pattaya/Jomtien /Na Jomtien at the moment.

Price no object.

BTW, we ate at the seafood buffet, Jomtien second road, heading south, on your left just before Chaiyaphruek.

Food average, did not like the air quality, it was full of burning coal from the BBQ's.

Where's the feedback? What did you choose and how was it?

Sadly I had a motorbike accident a few days before Valentine's day, taken to hospital.

Our plans for seafood restaurant were postponed.

I think that is called Je Juk ? and is close to the slipway.

Personally, in Bang Saray, I prefer Preecha - mainly because the missus was unlucky with food poisoning from Je Juk.

My favourite is Lung Suwai (next to Pupen) in Na Jomtien. Although I also enjoyed the BBQ in Naklua at Krathing Lai beach.... forget the name of the restaurant but it is about 500m from Bella Villa Cabana hotel.

...and did you understand what he meant by "back then" ?

Like many countries, I am sure things were more easy going "back then."  Now, like most countries, there are so many laws, fees, fines, tolls, taxes, licenses etc which has seen everyone lose a lot of their freedom.

Oh yes, I do recall seeing you post about that. I just didn't take note of the date and whether you were out of action.

Compare that to... sitting under aircon at the Hilton(sitting uncomfortably because she feels out of place there)...

What a bizarre statement.  Not all Thai women are low self-esteem bar girls.

I go out with a fair few 24 years olds. Tell me of your experience with 24 year old women

Could be.

The whole seating area is actually over the water and at the far end of the restaurant there is an additional seating area built farther out over the water.

Anyway it's the last restaurant on the row, just before the arch.

Thank God.

The country would go broke without low self esteem bar girls.

There are many with high self esteem too judging by prices being asked!

Except he didn't.   Now you know.

So? What you mean is that you didn't know before you tried to make a mountain out of a molehill.

So much faux outrage...
