impulse Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Just spitballing trolling here, but maybe they're working on the principle of removing the food source so as not to attract the inflatables?
norfolkandchance Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Come on. There are far more important issues in Scotland to be sorted out. For instance getting a second vote on Independence. 1

If you think its so bad, keep you cats inside to keep them from the carnage you brag about. You disputed the amount of damage, so I showed where it's more than you realize. I've known what cats are capable of all my life, and being a reader of what the big cats do, small cats are just a tiny relative that does the same amount of damage and would do the same to humans if they were bigger and were hurt somehow. I did keep my cats mostly inside when I had my own home, but they were let out to do their business.
harryviking Posted February 4 Posted February 4 About time someone put a halt to keep these predatory animals. They kill everything small they can find! Killing millions of lizards and birds joust for fun! These cats are killing machines and should be banned. 1 2

I and all of my family and friends, who all own cats, saw this for all our years in the US. If you can keep your cats off the counters, they still walk everywhere after using the litter box, which means bacteria all over the house, which is then touched by humans and transferred to everywhere you touch. Best to let them outside. they still walk everywhere after using the litter box, which means bacteria all over the house, which is then touched by humans and transferred to everywhere you touch. There is no difference to bacteria.....lol 1

When left to over populate, even deer cause many problems.

Well you let the killing machines out then because you were too lazy to clean up, and its not worth the bandwidth to argue for ego needs over the number of endangered lizards killed by Fuzzykins, especially when I firmly beleive in indoor catlife.

There is no difference to bacteria.....lol Going from the litter box to a kitchen counter is a little different than going outside and walking through grass for awhile before coming in but I see your point. I only have one cat here who stays outside because he was born there. When I live in the states, they are fixed and are inside/outside cats so they aren't out as long to prey on animals and birds.

It has nothing to do with ego pointing out stats anyone can find online.

I'm not disputing what they do, in fact agreeing with what they're capable of because I saw it myself, and read up on the cat species as a hobby.

Woke to Sounds Posted February 4 Posted February 4 More radical leftist agendas based on fairy dust. Wikipedia is far from unbiased. Anyone remember their first gambit at this lunacy during the early Corvid years when they were gung ho to ban pets because they spread Corvid? Thought not. 1

What is it about governments that they feel they can control every aspect of our lives? Cats on leashes? 😄 Next they'll be complaining that the rat, mouse, pigeon etc. populations have exploded. Exactly, what next some sort of official cull?

herfiehandbag Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I can see problems with a curfew - I have long experience of cats and have never ever known one which can tell the time! Enforcing it would require significant resources, a special Scottish Government Agency would be required - can I suggest a suitable "up to date title" - "Pussy Scotland"! I do hope that the Scottish Government will be left alone to get it's claws into the problem, hopefully Westminster will resist the temptation to play cat and mouse with such tomfoolery!

Maybole Posted February 4 Posted February 4 This is a totally fraudulent article purvayed by a militant wildlife activist. In an attempt to discredit the hated Scottish Government the right wing press have picked it up and run with it. The Scottish Government have denied any part of it!
