Chinese Embassy Condemns Thai Human Rights Commissioner's Remarks

The Chinese Embassy in Bangkok has expressed strong disapproval over comments by a member of Thailand’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), labelling them as "heinous and shameful" falsehoods regarding China's treatment of its Muslim population.

 

This diplomatic spat erupted following an NHRC commissioner's statements to the Thai press on 29th January. The commissioner accused China of mistreating Muslims, further alleging that some, upon being repatriated to China, faced grim fates, including being killed.

 

In a rebuke published on the embassy's webpage, Chinese officials emphasised China's commitment to human rights and the freedom of religious practice, as enshrined in its Constitution and government policies. They categorically denied claims that the Chinese government has banned the Qur'an and the Arabic language, dismissing such accusations as disconnected from reality.

Nonetheless, the embassy acknowledged past instances where some Chinese nationals were influenced by anti-government factions to illegally migrate to Thailand with purported intentions of engaging in illicit activities. The Chinese stance suggests that individuals involved would receive legal protection in China and be reintegrated into society.

 

While the embassy did not name these individuals, it is widely understood that they refer to Uyghurs—an ethnic minority group—detained in Bangkok by the Immigration Bureau for roughly a decade, awaiting possible repatriation to China.

 

The Uyghur issue has been a point of contention, particularly with international human rights groups expressing concern over their safety if returned to China. The strained diplomatic dialogue underscores the ongoing sensitivity surrounding China's policies toward its minority populations, particularly the Uyghurs.

 

In defending its human rights record, the Chinese Embassy aims to mitigate what it perceives as misinformation detrimental to its international reputation. Meanwhile, the comments from the NHRC have set the stage for potential diplomatic tension between Thailand and China, two countries that maintain significant economic and political ties.

 

This development comes at a time when international scrutiny of China's human rights practices remains heightened, with various governments and organisations closely monitoring the treatment of Uyghurs and other minority groups within the country's borders.

 

As both nations navigate this diplomatic unease, the focus remains on upholding open dialogue, respecting each other’s perspectives, and reaffirming commitments to human rights on both local and international platforms, reported Thai PBS.

Starving 35 million(or more?) of own people to death in 1960.

Mass killing of own people in 1989(Tiananmen Massacre; armed suppression of the pro-democracy rally in Beijing).

Currently, rounding up minority races into forced labor at garment factories.

 

Just a few minutes of finger tip search will get you heaps of such info...

Not a single chance I'm going to defend China on this, but when I sit back and think about it I remember reading about many of the human rights abuses my country of birth has meted out over the centuries and more recently.  2 wrongs don't make a right of course.

There's always collateral damage when building an empire, and that's exactly what China has been doing. 

 

I'm not saying it's right, but it's interesting how in history when western countries did the same, it was fine, but when China does it in the present, it's terrible.  

 

There's a new empire coming to the world.  Get used to it, or prepare for World War 3, because that's the only thing that can stop China.

Why China's Post-Dynasty wars are regarded worse than the rest?

Simply because of its scale of deaths and destruction were far greater than any others.

Even though both the west and the Asian country like Japan had sometime war-torn age in their history,  theirs were a lot smaller than China's.

 

China has often been regarded as the place where "Everything is counted by millions".

So as their casualties caused by their internal conflicts...

It would be convenient for the west if there was some type of military coup or revolution, but that is highly unlikely. 

 

Given the extent of global debt owed to China, once the west max's out their credit, I can only see going to war as a method of clearing the debt. 

 

Image the shame of a government explaining to their citizens, in democratic countries, that China now owns their country's economy. 

 

I suspect America has a false flag operation already planned, based on an attack on Taiwan, or an incident in the South China Sea, to kick it off.

Make as many as other countries dependent on PRC money and products(e.g.  becoming a major holder  EU and US bonds. And  main supplier of the cheap merchandise to Walmart; America's retail giant).

 

Even though it is also the Self-Binding String to them.

While today's China is the 2nd largest economic powerhouse in the world.

Still, heavily reliant on the western consumers(the biggest is US) while they supposedly have 1.4 billion population.

Huge army, and can retool factories and manufacture arms at a scale never seen before in the history of the world, all with the energy of their friends in Russia, while Americans have empty shelves in all their stores, across the whole USA.    

 

The day will come when America will need to go to war with China in order to wipe their debt out, but as we saw in the Vietnam War and the protests in America, due to empty shelves, there will be American people protesting, and quite possibly, lawlessness and anarchy.

 

Western countries should never have become reliant on China for so much manufacturing, but western countries are capitalist, so companies move their manufacturing to China for higher profits, and it's slowly become a matter of national security. Eg. Huawei not getting contracts on the basis of national security.
