Rising Anti-Israel Sentiments in Pai Following Tourists Misconduct

Equating anti-Israeli sentiment is NOT the same as being anti-semitic, despite some Zionists and Netanyahu trying to equate the two. After the recent release of Thai hostages from the hands of Hamas, there is more reason for Thais to be pro Israeli but some Israeli tourists in Thailand completely negate that opportunity with their oaffish behaviour.

I agree not the same, but don't confuse that fact with the reality that anti-Israel people are quite often ALSO Jew haters.

And so you can agree that democrats being anti israel are ALSO jew haters. The Biden administration is responsible for the world hate of jews now. Trump cant make the world safer for jews, but he can make america safe for jews

It's not about antisemitism, it's about Israelis behaving like scumbags in Thailand.

I grew up getting to know a Jewish woman, an Auzwits holocaust survivor, and already in the 80's she was condemning Israel for how they were treating the Palestinians, comparing what was happening already back then with how the nazis had treated her in the Warsaw ghetto.

Thats some extreme cognitive dissonance then, if you cant connect being liberal with being antisemitic. Thats a good reason why americans voted for trump, and im sure alot of american jews that were lifelong democrats voted for trump

The Defamation law is strict here, but where does a race banning sign stand with law.

I can imagine this scenario in the UK right now where Starmer would bang you up for 5 years for displaying a similar worded sign

Happy to say it loudly and in any company. They are a vile people responsible for most of the ills in the world. One man had the right idea.

Proud of you dude. You have little else in your life to commend you but you can admit you are an admirer of murderous scum. Embracing who you are is important, and its good that you are kind enough to admit you are an imminent threat to life. At least to women and children.

Now the question is, would you say that in front of an Israeli paratrooper? Or a Jewish guy in the USA outside NYC?

Curious by the way, since you mentioned the "One Man". Are you an adherent of his or to the National Socialist Party? Are you a German yourself and therefore seek the communalist dream of the Aryan? Or just a jew hater in general?

I don't care to much for either side but as an independent observer there is no doubt who the biggest murderers are.

Yeah, the problem is that Biden had too many Jews in his administration, with  Blinken, Yellin, Merrick, and Mayorkas just being a few of the over 50 Jews in the Biden administration... and then look at "the others" like Bloomberg that gave over $100 million first to Biden's election campaign, and then to Harris election campaign...

So, I wonder where this about making America safe for Jews comes from?!

Are israeli toruists really any worse than the russian ones in phuket? Maybe crazy western politics is making its way here too

I am not sure if you are aware but most of the prime ministers of Israel were born in the ex Soviet Union. And there are many Jews born in Russia that moved to  Israel. I am sure the Israel is very happy to have all those Russian Jewish scientists, drug addicts, drunks or not.

Please understand that being anti- genocide is not anti- Semitism

Many Israelis are not Zionists

Most current Israelis are of European decent, not from Middle Eastern heritage and have no historical connection to the land

Yes I agree but Netanayhu and his government often use the same term.  They often call criticism of Israel's behaviour in the Gaza conlfict as anti semetism.

This wave of Jewish migration followed the 1970s Soviet aliyah, which began after the Soviet government lifted the ban on the country's refuseniks, most of whom were Jews who had been denied permission to leave the country. Between 1989 and 2006, about 1.6 million Soviet Jews and their relatives left the country.

Israelis with Soviet or Russian origin tend to be in the very right wing camp of Israeli politics. I'm not an expert on this but I am aware of the perception that many of the Russian Jews that came to Israel during some immigration waves faked scammed their way on and weren't really Jews.

Tensions are simmering in Pai, Mae Hong Son, as anti-Semitic sentiments have surfaced, leading several businesses and a local restaurants to display signs stating that Israeli tourists are unwelcome. This reaction follows disturbances caused by certain Israeli travellers.

On 8th February, Police Lieutenant Colonel Suwit Bunnaphen of the Mae Hong Son Tourist Police confirmed the removal of disruptive Israeli tourists from the country. These individuals were charged with causing disturbances at Pai Hospital and have had their entry permits revoked.

The incidents underscore concerns about some foreign tourists who, by behaving poorly and violating laws, disrupt the peace and order of the local community.

Police Major General Sakyasira Pueng-um, from the tourist police, emphasised rigorous law enforcement for all tourists, irrespective of nationality, aiming to ensure equal treatment and maintain peace.

Following these events, authorities in Pai intend to enforce tourism-related laws more strictly to ensure a harmonious environment for both tourists and locals.

Social media activity has compounded the situation. One Facebook user posted that a local restaurant has refused entry to Israeli tourists. Another post, featuring a video, showed inebriated tourists behaving inappropriately, leading to fear among local businesses. The post's author expressed security concerns, feeling anxious with only two women managing the establishment.

Immigration Police Inspector, Police Lieutenant Colonel Wichai Panna, said efforts are underway to locate and question the tourists from the viral video to address the concerns raised by local businesses.

In 2024, Pai saw 221,776 foreign tourists, including a significant number from Israel. However, official statistics often overestimate actual stays due to repeated accommodation reports for the same individuals as they move locations.

Currently, it is estimated that around 2,000 to 3,000 Israeli tourists reside in Pai, a notable reduction from official figures, reported Amarin TV.

Unfortunately it's not mentioned what kind of antisemitic sentiments have been seen.

Or is it as many times a mixed up by media not to see the difference between antisemitic and Anti-Israel???😳

The Jews are experts at playing the race card.

Criticize a Jewish person or a person from Israel and you are immediately labeled an anti-semite.

Of course, I will be labeled anti-semitic for expressing this opinion!

Do you ever reply in a way that's not contrarian and nasty? Ever?

I am the farthest person in the world from being anti-Semitic, Unlike you, I'm Jewish, my family is Jewish, I have dozens of people in this world that are Jewish that I love and I'm very close to. I support the religion I just do not support extremist, genocidal Israeli policy, and as a Trump supporter you could never understand the distinction. You just don't have it within your intellect to make a distinction like that.

This would be my last reply to you ever, it's like talking to a broken record, your replies are completely ridiculous and highly robotic.

Lazar Kaganovich and Leon Trotsky was Jewish. Jews  can hate and be anti semites like anyone else.  With Jews, its all about the Socialism.

A cause which you loudly pronounce.
