I tend to keep up. Not seen any hospitals wrecked though. Got a link to that BP article?

That's silly.

Palestinian Arabs didn't exist as an identity group until Yassar Arafat.

If you're honest about indigenous peoples of Israel (I doubt you are) Jews came long before Arabs.

Let's get REAL here.

In today's world BOTH peoples have legitimate claims to the lands there and for many reasons BOTH peoples have been unable to negotiate a peaceful way to make that work. I offer no solutions.

The reason is that the Zionist plan was to take control of all the land. On that basis there could not ever be an agreement. Anyone who wasn't totally biased and had at least a modicum of intelligence understood that.

It's sickening to watch the charade of pretending to be the victims here. You can fool some of the people some of the time and you can even fool some of the people all of the time. But you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. This thread is just an illustration of people speaking the truth about awful people, but couldn't say anything lest they were accused of being anti-Semetic.

It's all PR. Anti-American and Anti-Semetic come from the same playbook.

Very selective propaganda narrative.

Somehow you failed to mention the UN charter that created two states.

The Jews accepted.

The Arabs attacked.

Not just Arabs in the area.

Pretty much the entire Arab world.

So you wonder why Israeli Jews became a war like people? No choice!

No. Yours is selective. You fail to mention the Jewish terrorists who were attacking the British and the Arabs all the while before the partition and why the two states were created and why the majority population would agree to not only having the lion's share of the land taken away, but also the most valuable agricultural land. It's just your childish attempt to whitewash as usual.

Some of us actually paid attention at school. You attempting to change the narrative is just the behaviour that I've noted from some quarters ever since.

We could start any date and support any narrative.

You obviously don't accept the right of Israel to exist on any land there.

It's not as if we're going to settle the conflict here on this forum.

I have said both sides have legitimate claims. I don't believe that you think the Jews have any claim. If I'm wrong. correct that.

There you go trying to make my arguments for me. You cannot debate with me on pure knowledge. You need to snipe and do underhand things. Be gone! You aren't worth my time.

So I was right.

Dude -- I'm not interested in debating with you about why Israel should have a right to exist.

Israel DOES exist and also there are lots of Arab Israeli citizens and also very many Arabs in the west bank and fewer than before in Gaza.

They both will continue to demand claims on the lands.

That's the reality. That's the situation. I know you don't have a solution either. It seems nobody does.

Always in the news, the chosen people from the promised land.

Had an Italian restaurant for 15 years in the outskirts of Pattaya, open 5pm to 10mp. At 10.20pm four Israelis come in, one of them could speak English. Asked if they could have some dinner and I referred to "pasta and pizze" only - if they hurry with ordering -  as the main kitchens (Thai and Western) were in the daily cleaning process.
It took them 10 minutes leafing through the menu until the English-speaking lady asked, if we cook kosher. I said, that this is an Italian restaurant with pork and seafood, sometimes cooked with cream and hence tref (non-kosher). Next question was, if I would know what kosher food is all about to with I replied that they better hurry up with their order. The lady, after conferring with her traveling mates, asked again for kosher dishes and that's when I said, that the sign board clearly said Italian food and not kosher food. For kosher food they would have to go to a kosher restaurant in town. What is the name, they asked to which I replied "King David". Their answer to that was "far too expensive". At 10.40pm finally they wanted a vegetarian pizza (for four!) yet the kitchen staff had gone by then. They got angry, stood up and left without paying for their soft drinks they had.

From that day on I kindly requested every guest asking for kosher food to leave the premises to avoid yet another rude and impolite confrontation with some spoilt tourists younger than my own kids.

Amazing in 15 years only one group from Israel causing a problem and you then go ahead and ban all that ask for kosher food.

Ever had any other nationalities causing a problem in that 15 years?

Sounding to be much more anti Israeli than antisemitic.

I serioudly doubt Jerry Seinfeld would have any problem being served in Pai, unless there is some kind of soup Nazi`shop there.

Jerry loved the soup nazi - a friend of mine knew him when he was just starting out - my friend told him 'don't quit your day job.' Jerry did well for himself in spite of not being funny. Elaine, Kramer, Costanza, even Newman were all much funnier.

Any person, Jewish, Israeli, or anything else that supports the right of Israel to exist is pro Zionist.

You have no understanding of what Zionism means.

Zionism does not conflate with current Israeli government policies.

Most current Israelis are NOT of European descent.

You're thinking of American Jews.

The Jewish people in general most definitely do have a historical connection to Israel.

Older than Arabs for sure.

Israeli is a Jewish majority middle eastern country.

You're spouting ignorant propaganda.

You need to read a bit more and not just the  one side.

Not a surprise. Asia has this all over. In Japan there are many "Japanese only" restraunts.

I think the root of the problem is how trouble making tourist are dealt with. Far to often it's a fine, followed with photo op of opportunity, and public apology.

They really need to enforce visa bans on trouble makers. Or jail time to send a message.

Well, for one thing:

He never answered the question, or than to EMOTE like the bad actor he is.

To answer your question: Yes.

How much is this guy worth, anyway?

Hope not.

If your restaurant closed at 10pm and the people showed up at 10:20 pm, why not tell them the kitchen was closed?

I doubt that you were asked if you cooked kosher. The Israelis are well aware that Thailand is not a kosher country and they are most likely not keeping kosher if they are in Pattaya and are certainly not going to find a kosher restaurant on the outskirts of  Pattaya. I expect that they asked if you can cook without pork.  It is not an unreasonable request as several of my very Italian friends avoid pork and processed meat. It is related to health issues. My muslim friend does not eat prok either and asks for dishes without pork.  I avoid pork in Thailand because of the over use of  chemicals and antibiotics and I disapprove of the  factory farming.   How about being honest and not spitting out a story that conforms with your pre-existing bias?

None of which applies in this  story. The men were in the hospital and did not wish to leave their friend alone. They behaved inappropriately and were charged with  disturbing the peace and removed quickly.   It was a far quicker and harsher response than what we see with other misbehaving foreigners.  I believe the response was appropriate and should be applied to everyone, including the French people who were b*tchslapping each other in Patong, the English yobs who ran amuck on walking street in Pattaya, and the Russians who ran over people.
