An incident in Amnat Charoen saw a pick-up truck driver lose control, crash into three parked motorcycles, become airborne  and landing on the back of a tow truck. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.

 

The crash occurred on a straight section of road leading into Amnat Charoen city. Emergency services were alerted, and officers from Mueang Amnat Charoen Police Station arrived at the scene to find a white pick-up truck on its side and resting on the rear of a tow truck parked outside a motorcycle repair shop. Three motorcycles had been completely destroyed in the crash.

 

CCTV footage from the area captured the moment the vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and smashed into the parked motorcycles before flipping onto the tow truck.

 

The driver suffered only minor chest pain and was immediately taken to Amnat Charoen Hospital for a thorough medical check-up.

 

The owner of the repair shop, who witnessed the incident, described the shocking moment:

 

“I was inspecting work inside the garage when I suddenly heard a loud crash. When I turned around, I saw the pick-up truck had already flipped onto the back of my tow truck. I immediately sent my staff to check for injuries, but luckily, no one else was hurt.”

 

Interestingly, the shop owner recalled that a similar accident had occurred at the same location ten years ago. However, in that instance, the vehicle had only overturned without crashing into other vehicles.

 

Initial police investigations suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road, hit the parked motorcycles, and flip onto the tow truck. Authorities will conduct further inquiries and determine whether legal action will be taken against the driver.
