Idioticy is what Zelensky is doing, as Trump wisely observed in a few months Zelensky won't have a country anymore. Russia is destroying Ukraine.

True idioticy is the cheerleading by Western virtue signallers trying to armchair warrior themselves into a frenzy whilst they support the ongoing killing and destruction of Ukraine for a senseless and pointless war that should never have happened.

The sooner this war ends, the better it will be.

So what do you think should have happened? Allow Russia to annex their territory by turning a blind eye to it?

Let us know what you would have done, since you suggest that Zelenskky is an idiot.

On page 2 of this thread, I mentioned that the only way I can make sense of this is if the Kremlin has some serious dirt on Trump that could bring him down. Today, whilst drifting through many different media sources, I came across this article (yes, I know, the DM), but it goes down the same avenue I was suggesting with much more detail... and in Russian they call it "Kompromat", worth a read if interested.

It's a long and tiresome litany of Ukrainian provocations, but in a nutshell, Ukraine should never have tried to poke Russia in th eye by opening her legs for the West, they should have understood that they are a neighbour of a nuclear power and an integral part of Russia's vital sphere of influence. The West was always only going to indulge in a one-night stand, and look how afraid they rightly are to face a nuclear power like Russia, no troops on the ground. It was a fool's errand to listen to Boris Johnson and go to war with Russia.

What should have happened is that Ukraine should have agreed with Russia way back when Boris Johnson flew to see Zelensky and interfere by preventing precisely that from happening. Yes, Ukraine would have divested itself of the Donbass, in which it never showed any real care or interest, but so what?  It will lose it anyway now, no matter what.

Russia never wanted this war, and never had any intention of taking the whole country of Ukraine. All they wanted was a friendly or neutral Ukraine that did not fornicate with the West. Ukraine cheated on Russia, and in the worst possible way. Only in this adultery thousands of innocent women and children had to die, all because Zelensky thought he was warlord, when in fact he's a comedian. Now the joke's on him. No more US support and only surrender as a viable option.

See bus.

See Trump.

See Trump throw Ukraine under.

Utterly disgusting!

Come on Jing!  Man up.  Show Trump you ain't gonna take his **** anymore and that you mean business.  Volunteer to go kill Ivan!  Put your money where your mouth is.  Go to Ukraine, get your kit and weapons, and head for the Eastern front.  Maybe better - maybe Kursk!

You going?
Yeah - didn't think so.  All bluster and no muster.  Like Chiang Mai this time of year:  Nothing but hot air full of particulate.

In case you change your mind.  👇

Your answer appears to be that you would allow Russia to install their people and make it a vassal state. Is that correct?

Since they were unable to sustain that, they started the provocations. Issuing passports in the east, separatists. The usual Russian playbook.

No, as I wrote above, Russia NEVER EVER....EVVVVAAAHHHHH had any interest in taking the whole of Ukraine. They only invaded Ukraine AFTER the West made clear they want to incorporate Ukraine into NATO and Ukraine made clear it would switch sides to the US And Europe and NATO. But Ukraine is not Poland, Ukraine is a far more important neighbour of a giant nuclear power. Just as Pananma could not do what it wanted and had to face US invasion, so Ukraine has no freedom to do what it wants. Why? Because both Panama and Ukraine are neighbours of major nuclear powers. That's just real life politics. The Russian passports only came AFTER NATO made clear they lied and intended to incorporate Ukraine btw.

When they wanted to defend themselves, we, among many, many other nations helped.  Quite a difference from your Russian narrative.

Not true, but the truth is finally coming out!  USA/CIA started it all to further their interests. Then, they lied to the Ukrainian people that they could win when it was obvious to anyone with a clear mind that it was impossible. I hope Zelensky winds up Trump more and more! Stop the funding NOW.

You're saying Russia is so stupid they were duped by the CIA into a disastrous invasion of their neighbor?  That despite 2 previous invasions of Ukraine, this third one was one they wouldn't have done on their own had they not been bamboozled by the nefarious spooks at Langley?  You really have a low opinion of Russian intelligence.

 Say it ain't so...!   haha

I loved the Bee but in the past two years or so they have become not only full MAGA but unfunny, in the same way Colbert, SNL, Trevor Noah etc are unfunny on the Left.  When you try to push a political narrative using humor as the vehicle, rather than just try to be funny, you're not funny.  And they've also lost their distinctive Christian edge, the more MAGA they become.

Trump is starting to sound more like Putin everyday.

He is literally using Kremlin talking points, so the the confusion is understandable.  When the Steele dossier was discredited I thought "Good, glad to see a (probably Russian) attempt at election interference fail."

I never then thought that the Dem narrative would turn out to be true, but it is.

He really is a Russian asset.

Putin would ‘eat you for lunch,’ Harris tells Trump in bitter clash over Russia and Ukraine

Harris told Trump that Putin “would eat you for lunch” and said if the Republican was president, “Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now,” accusing him of being ready to abandon Ukraine after two and a half years of war and an immense military funding effort by the U.S.
