Is a visa of this type easily obtainable in Australia eg: ( Sydney ). I have read posts about this but I'm still confused about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell us a little about yourself Mike. Age, marital status etc, and purpose of visit to Thailand.

I'm married, 58 years old and retired. I would like to spend most of my time in Thailand but I would need to communicate between Thailand and Australia due to investment commitments when required.

It is easy. You can get a retirment visa and a multiple re-entry permit as long as you could show Immigration that you have 800,000 Bahts in your Thai bank account. I have been in and out BKK for the last year and half with this set up.
