The forklift driver in Texas, the waitress in California and the people working at Walmart and Jiffy Lube all over the country are not going to be real sympathetic to people that on average earn over $93K a year, are not showing up to the office, and are fighting having to come up with five things they did in the previous week.

Most voters focus on the $50 million of US taxpayer money that went out the door to stupid programs in the Middle East.  The MSM and Dems focus on the minutia, that the wasted $50 million didn't actually buy condoms. Who cares?

 

It was spent on other stupid stuff that doesn't benefit Americans who paid the money.

 

And if you believe in Occam's razor when it comes to wasting (and stealing) tax money, there's no way to have a reasonable discussion.  That's why $billions are spent each year by businesses auditing their books.  And now the gub'ment is auditing our books.  It won't be simple, because it's gotten so convoluted that humans can't do it.  It's going to take AI.

It's management who justify hiring, set targets and conduct appraisals.  If an employee doesn't meet reasonable targets then it's management who determine further action.

Government is not the same as a commercial company. When a government department hires loads of drones the taxpayer picks up the tab and the people don't get a say- clearly corrupt.

In the case of the government the managers report to the POTUS, and if the POTUS wants Musk to cull the drones then that is what happens.
