Where did I buy them? In Thailand. Being sold openly in markets in Chiang Mai etc. Hmmm... Thats fine, the word is EXPORT !! thats when you might run into a problem ! 1
Marco100 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A little common sense from the British Influencer would have been good . You are a guest in this country , just avoid religious involvement. 1

KhonkaenExpat Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The Buddhist religion is not exclusive to Thailand. Although Thailand is predominantly Buddhist, this does not grant anyone the authority to dictate whether someone can or cannot have a tattoo of the Lord Buddha's head on their body. 1

In Thailand, freedom of religion has been established since 1932(at the time of their revolution). But when it comes to the issue of law and religion, looks like a Grey Area...

Now just to remind you "The Grand Palace" is also known as "The Kings Palace". Are you calling them Woke? 1

thecyclist Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The most offensive thing in this story is having to hear the word "Emily" a hundred times in 2 minutes. I used to think it was a cute name, not anymore. Referring to yourself in the 3rd person, yes sometimes Thais do it, but not over and over again, to a headache inducing extent. 1
Taboo2 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Excuse me, is there anyone on the planet who is NOT an influencer? My God, what is going on today? Maybe Uncle Putin should light a candle or two. We need to start over. 1

Yes, I agree the restrictions/the regulations should imply for goods against any illegal activities in my opinion. I find difficult to accept the tattoo to be recognised as goods because it is on the human skin permanently.

Lets face it this is a complete non story... there would be no response whatsoever if it were not for the magic word which seems to get every boomer well and truly triggered.... "influencer" !!!
smew Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago What will she do when she runs out of skin for tattoos, how will she attract more attention. Influencers are scammers trying to get publicity anyway possible and with every additional viewer and subscriber maybe get more money or scam more from someplace. Lazy bunch of people

ThailandGuy Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Everyone has a cross below his belly, no Christian, Buddhist, Moslim or any religion is making a problem of that. If we would not have it the world would be a better place and less stupid things to worry about, right? 2

NativeBob Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Having a thai tattooist as a husband says everything about this influencer. She studies Buddhism? Yeah, 2 times a day, 5 times on weekends. Pure and desperate form of trolling. Nothing just pathetic brat 1
Purdey Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I wonder if Emily would consider a tattoo of Mohammed on her other arm. Would be a good talking point.

iLuvThai Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Forgive me for pointing out what I think is obvious. In a world (Thailand and other predominantly Buddhist countries) where it's totally acceptable to Bow low, even get on your face to worship an statue, (idolize the image.) but a tattoo of that person's image is unexceptable. It seem oddly backwards, I would've thought Buddhism would celebrate the promotional aspect.
