Given the recent events vis-a-vis Putin and Trump, and Trump's attitude towards economicallyl advanced nations, the question ought to be "To be a Maga supporter, is it a prerequisite to hate democracies?"

You mean democracies that arrest people that post memes on the internet?

I think of myself as progressive, id rather things progress rather than stay the same or go back to the way things used to be. But todays progressive seems to want the west to “progress” into third world countries. Do any of you know any sane leftists? I think if they loved their countries they wouldnt be leftist

It occurs to me that US citizens have a rather twisted understanding of the "left". One assumes you do understand that human rights, social services for the less well off and so on, at least from a European POV were legislated by the "left". Is this not the case in the US?. At this particular point in time the current US Administration is disliked by a number of democratic countries due to it's drift to authoritarianism and political bullying, one could say "cruelty". I believe it's fair to say the USA was once considered a great country to be admired i.e. in the era of the Marshall Plan and JFK - for the moment, no longer.

Yeah, in the US we want more for the poor than that crumbs the left throws at them to keep them in line.

I would say to be a maga cult member means you must hate democracy.

Same goes for the extreme left cult members who definitely hate democracy.
