In a shocking incident on February 24 in Bangkok's Khlong Toei area, a group of young boys, including a 10-year-old, reportedly attacked a 23-year-old Cambodian man with a knife when he refused to hand over 10 baht (US$0.3). The victim, named Wanchitchum, was cycling with a friend near the Khlong Toei Community School when the incident occurred.

Wanchitchum suffered a stab wound to his left ribs and a head injury. He was quickly taken to a hospital, and police were notified afterwards. The altercation began when the youths approached Wanchitchum, demanding money. Upon refusal, they chased him, eventually catching up and attacking him with a knife, leading to serious injuries.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspects and are confident they will soon apprehend the gang. Community members and local police are on high alert as they work to ensure safety and justice, reported The Thaiger.

Shocking indeed

How do you protect yourself in a situation like that? If you open a can of whoop-ass on them, they will probably be seen as victims and you will go to jail, or receive wrath and street justice from nearby adult Thais.

Underage bastar*s.

Thai juvenile judicial system, just as sick as the 1st world.

Even when they are arrested for crime like this, won't face any  real punishment.

In the hypocritic name of "Mercy and Protection" for the minor.

Recent prohibition of parental corporal punishment in this kingdom, will only worsen the situation.

If someone comes at you with a weapon you do whatever you can to protect yourself with extreme prejudice. If it's you or them, it will be them. Self defense isn't a crime and necessary to remove these cowards from repeating it again on another innocent. If they're learning this at 10, along with the other daily attacks with knives here, it's sure they haven't anyone at home to teach them respect for life. Peers coming from broken or damaged homes push each other to commit such crimes, and for this little money shows a complete lack of care for life.

Klong Toei, long known as the BKK's Biggest Slum(even though rapidly changing for the better in recent decades).

School children from that area, are said to lose their friends instantly, when their classmates find out where they live(deemed 2nd class citizen from the bad neighborhood).

So they often do their best to hide it.

And this case, only serves strengthen long standing prejudice against  the descent people living there today.

Those rotten brats really deserve to die for that.

Some Youtube footage covering this particular area.

Give 'em 10 baht.

Not law yet and the amendment only "discourages parental corporal punishment".

Mugging, holding up, and attempted to kill  others with knife, only at 10?

He was attacked and knifed by the "youths" in the gang, not the 10-year old child who was present.

Better put them down, instead.

Won't make any descent character in any future anyway.

Just a bunch of human shaped vermin.

I won't have ounce of mercy toward those little bastar*s.

Exactly! Make an example! Crush their skulls with elephants in a ceremony at Lumpini Park, then tear their twitching remains into pieces and feed them to the water monitors.

I hope that doesnt sound to harsh, but we shouldnt have any mercy towards those verminous little bastids

Hi, thank you for sympathy.

What outraged me most, is those beasts targeted  the less fortunate(poor migrant worker from the poorer country; he must have had a family back home,  to support(old parents, younger siblings and/or wife and children).

Harming a man like that, means to destroy  a little humble peace and happiness of those people behind him.

I might have had a different way to look at this case if they ever attacked some wealthy arrogant mobster like things...

Well now that I see your decent and altruistic thoughts on the situation, I am emotionally moved enough to say that the beasts should not be granted the mercy of a skull crushing, rather, lets smash their arms and legs and weave the broken floppy appendages into wagon wheels which we can display at Siam Square and use for education for school trips! While they are still alive and screaming, bring the youngest tikes in first so as to create a firmer lesson, it might take them a week or so to kick off and then the older kids can come in to see the bloated rotting corpses! A wonderful example for the kiddies.

That sounds like justice to me. You are a very kind man.
